Because of what happend in the book i susspect that this was a subtle way to finish most the story with out having to base an entire expansion around it and rather make it a raid/dungeon or a zone or two in a latter xpac.

It'll probably be the sunwell/ICC (In terms of ICC being the 4th tier in relation to the traditional 3 tiers, which logically means Toc was the 'final' raid) Of cata. Y'know, Whack it in through the emerald sanctum or something daft. After all like i mentioned, the sunwell took you back to the old world, Why wouldnt they drag you to the dragonblight for that?

btw if they decided to skip this expansion, it only means
1: they have so many ideas of content for the future exps
2: they wont to end the game quickly and dont leave too many thing unexplained

The satyr Whats-his-face (i want to say xaladin) wasnt the true corruptor of the emerald dream. He was just a minion of the even greater source, a Old God.

It'd be cool if they did end up doing it. I pictured Azeroth, prior to the Scourge, prior to the Sundering. One giant continent you can explore and kick ass in. I don't think Ysera would go for that though.

the super-satyr(hehehe) is dead, but they felt an Old God buried deep in the Emerald Dream.

my bet is,next xpac is the Emerald Dream Old Gods stops fucking around and starts dealing the emerald dreams seriously wrong, making xavius's emerald nightmare look like a kid's show and we gotta stop it.
at the same time as that shit C'thun is gonna stop just dicking around with his Twilight Cultists and make a serious bid for space. even Yogg-Saron may come back and the other ones might wake up and start causing bloody hell.
