There will be an Old God right?

There will be an Old God, right? even if not to kill, but a new face to our great enemies would be nice. I feel like Yogg Saron was wicked intelligent, cunning and terrifying(from a lore point of view)But most of all, he had a pesonality, unlike C'thun who was just a thing. Listening to the Yogg Saron audio, I was amazed, though I never fought him yet. Then I thought about it, Old Gods are more powerful then anyone we ever fought, but why were they never the main boss/theme boss for an expansion? Its because they aren't Iconic like Illidan, Arthas and Deathwing. And before Yogg, not much was none about them. Yogg Saron changed that, he put a face, a voice, a fan-base for them. I think After Cataclysm, that they have so much exposure that an Old God can be the new Theme'd boss for an Expansion.

Thats why I hope theres atleast a new Old God, if not to kill, but to be a huge pain in the ass that by the end of this expansion, you want to kill him. So yeah, is there an Old God?

They're changing things up this time around, we'll be facing a Young God instead.

Soggoth the Slitherer is the known Old God appearing in Cataclysm (although not as a boss yet; maybe in a later tier).

Noob me, and I thought that our "great enemies" were the Burning Legion evilz boyz...

None was the main boss not because of this "no Iconic-style conspiracy", but simply because, as said above, the "great enemy" resides elsewhere.

KT -> Scourge -> Burning Legion

Illidan -> Served the Burning Legion -> Escaping from the Burning Legion

Arthas -> Pawn of the Burning Legion -> Rioted and acted by himself

In between those 3 I may even add Kil'Jaeden, the whole Hyjal Summit, Vashj+Kael as servants of Illidan.
Also Malchezaar who's NOT FIGHTING ALONE BUT THE LEGION HE COMMANDS!

Deathwing -> Actually, his "true masters" MIGHT be the Burning Legion members, but it's more likely he'll be Old God oriented.

Generaly, old gods are behind the scene villans and their models arent released untill the raid is out. I dont know if we will fight one, id like to say yes, but i dont know. I do however know that you will see a lot of old god tentacles throughout leveling, so they are a major chunk of the expansion. So far the only possible old god that we can name is Isorath. It is unknown if it is actually a old god or just a faceless, but it shows most all of the old god signs i.e. tentacle, corruption, size, ability to summon faceless at will.
The locations of old gods are Stonetalon mountain area, Twilight Highland area, and possibly Great Sea area.

This slitherer guy, I remember a very long snake like tail that was under Gundrak, but could not be clicked on. I think it's scales are the same color as Hakkar's, so maybe this?

As far as I am aware, Cho'gall was possessed/empowered by C'thun, meaning he;s likely to return.

    inb4: Setback.

Yogg-Saron had more of a personality, but C'thun had way more hype. Although the beginning of Ulduar felt like an epic siege, the beginning of AQ felt like an actual war. The big event that happened when AQ was opened made it feel way more awesome.

Not to mention, there were little things that make the C'thun experience awesome, such as the emote that sounds when you enter the Twin Emperor room:

The massive floating eyeball in the center of the chamber turns its gaze upon you. You stand before a god.
And the quest text from the "Eye of C'thun" drop:

The walls of Ahn'Qiraj tremble. A force of evil, older than the world itself, has been destroyed.

As you look at the remnants of the colossal abomination your heart nearly freezes. Even in death you can feel the legacy of C'Thun's evil around you.

You have done what was thought to be impossible.
Yogg was known, but it felt like Blizzard denied us way too much information. They even said that the quests in Icecrown explained Yogg's involvement with the Lich King, yet no one knows what the fuck they were talking about. C'thun was hyped immensely, which added to the experience itself. Considering the amount of Faceless Ones and tentacles we've seen already, I hope the new old god goes the way of C'thun.

I emphatically agree, Cataclysm has shaped up so far to have let the Lore Department play with everything, right down to the bells and whistles, and I hope it continues.
