Blood dps issues

So I'm mainspec frost ArP, and with my current gear, I do 15.8k dps on an average no movement fight like Festergut, and as Blood, I only get 11k dps

I'm using GoD so my rotation is something like-

PS>IT>DS>HS>HS>DRW>DS>HS>HS>HS>PEST

Dump>HS>HS>DS>Dump>DS>HS>HS>HS>Pest repeat

If it's something I'm doing wrong, or bad stats, please comment.

I'd say your problem is you're trying to DPS as blood.

the only chance youll ever have of doing competitive dps with blood is with 95% best in slot gear and orange text. your gear is good as it is, nothing i would call bad, but you NEED a shadowmourne, or at the very least a 284 glorenzelg. blood scales so god damn well with weapon damage that its the only way youll do competitive dps. also more 277/271/284 gear.

But in all seriousness, You can do great DPS with Frost, why bother with Blood :P But as Juke said, more gear :P

Sorry to say, but Blood DPS is not just that great (anymore)... Pvp-wise it might be nice, but with an extreme amount of tweaking etc in blood, i still did considerably less DPS than with an Unholy cookie-cutter build I used for the very first time in my DK life... (yes i always drop every Hysteria on myself and try out best timing for CDs) I think you will be better off DPSing in Unholy, or going PvP with your blood tree. (I suck at PvP so it's just a suggestion)
If you go Unholy and tweak it a bit i think you might pump out some nice dps, anyways, good luck on the matter

also you want to DRW before a disease refresh, because it applies its own, especially in any kind of multitarget situation since you can pest them both around. i havnt played a dk in like a year, but last time i did GoD didnt apply your DRW's diseases.

seriously though, only response you need; come back to it once you have an orange, and youll find it much more satisfying. 20k white crits are pretty hardcore.

Blood isn't as gear dependent as people would have you believe. If you're really doing 5k less than you do with other specs it's not about gear, you just aren't playing the spec well.

My friend in my guild is just as geared as I am. I do 15k as frost on saurfang while he does about 14k as blood. You prob just need to get used to the rotation.

That is a pretty big drop. The fights are both about the same length so assuming there were no major composition issues, like missing 20% melee haste because you are no longer frost, I'd expect them to be closer. Have you checked to make sure you trained all the ranks of the Blood specific abilities and are using the top rank of all spells on your toolbar? Your toolbars don't automatically update for your inactive spec when you train new spell ranks.

Blood has a lower average single target dps than unholy but a higher standard deviation. Blood can do more dps than unholy but will usually do less.

The Blood DK got spammed by his druid(s) to get extra RP, but the other two (top frost and unholy) did not.
I'm very well aware that extra RP is not a "big deal" for blood; but I'd place bets that if the other two had gotten 96 extra RP from revitalize, it would have made a big difference.
Edit: After a quick review of the Frost DK's gear, I'd say if he had Sharpened Twilight Scale like the other two it'd make at least a little difference.

Anyways, can't see why you even try to compete with any 2h DK spec against dualwield frost on encounters like festergut or saurfang. Totally pointless without shadowmourne. And just for additional consideration: Especially on Festergut you definitely won't have 100% "BLOOD GORGED uptime" if you aren't babysitted by a healer, preferably a disc priest.
