    Cataclysm and guilds.

    Hi all!

I was wondering, with Blizzards big push for guilds in Cataclysm, does this mean that all the new cool stuff you get for being in a guild is only going to be available for the hardcore guilds? Those who raid 24/7, never miss anything, and able to be on 24/7? Or is it going to be balanced out that those who are in social guilds, pvp guilds, leveling guilds, or guilds that try to do everything but are not so strict and allow you to miss a raid and whatnot will also be able to get the new stuff like the guild vendor and achievements?

    Thanks!

This info has been posted over and over again, there is a tone of blues about it : guild progress points can be achieved through every activity that gives rewards - raids, 5-man, profession levelling, questing, PvP, various achievments, etc etc.
The top "contributing" 20-30 players in the guild will set the progress for the week. The point is to make people stay in guilds because it is a MMO - RPG and not a single player RPG

Ah, so you don't have to be in a hardcore guild that would kick you out if you missed a raid because you had to attend a birthday party (no joke, that happened to a friend of mine)? You can just be in a average, social guild that tries to do everything but not so strict, just level professions, alts, and do battlegrounds but not raid much, do what you want to do, and be in a guild to get to know people and make friends and get benefits for doing it like guild vendor and achievement bonuses?

Yes, anyone can get the new guild items. The amount of guild progression you can achieve in a weekis capped so its no different between casuals and hardcore players.

Makes it worthwhile being in a guild then besides just wanting to raid! That's nice! Thank you :]
