Ok, so it seems that my comments on other people's backstories or character outlines are in danger of being deleted unless I post my own backstory for feedback. So here's one.

Name: Mulungu
Gender: Male
Race: Troll
Age: 19 years
Class: Shaman

Physical Description and Personality: Mulungu stands at over nine feet tall, when he isn't hunched over. Taller than most trolls, Mulungu appears to be even more gangly and awkward, but posses all the strength and agility that trolls are known for. His skin is blue, and is covered in a similar shade of light blue fur. He cannot stand to have anything stuck in his fur. Mulungu's hair is a shade of yellow and worn in a loose bundle of braids.

Mulungu is intensely focused on honoring the elements and will not abide the needless destruction of the natural world in any way. He has a tremendous respect for the tauren because of this. His eyes are constantly darting around, alerting him of any changes in his surroundings. Mulungu often converses aloud with the elements, leading many to question his sanity. He's aware of this fact, and often uses it to his advantage.

Mulungu is young and a bit bullheaded. He appreciates tradition, but he isn't bound by it. He's a very progressive thinker and keeps his mind open to new ideas, so long as they don't conflict with the will of the elements. Mulungu has had disagreements with his tribal leaders in his life, and is one of the few Darkspears that support Garrosh and his chieftainship of the Horde. Mulungu was not of age to battle against the Lich King in Northrend, and as a result the stories he heard of Garrosh's victories over the Scourge quickly earned Hellscream Mulungu's respect. He also shares the respect for Thrall that his tribe has, and feels that if Thrall himself saw Garrosh fit to lead, that it is best for the Horde and does not question Thrall's wisdom.

Brief Bio: Born in the Darkspear's village in Stranglethorn Vale, Mulungu spent his first six years learning what it meant to be a savage and violent troll. His father was sacrificed to Bwonsamdi and his flesh was prepared for the tribe to partake of as part of the ceremony. Mulungu was at first terrified, but as the flesh of his father was distributed and finally came to young Mulungu, he gave in to his primal troll instincts and joined in the celebration. Soon after, his mother was killed in the initial attacks on the Darkspear tribe by the Skullsplitter, Bloodscalp, and Gurubashi tribes. Forced to flee Stranglethorn Vale, the newly orphaned Mulungu felt dispair for the first and only time in his life. He cried out in his pain, and felt the calming presence of the Spirit of Water touch him. A bond was formed, and Mulungu was taken in by a Darkspear shaman named Ishi-yo.

Mulungu and his new guardian followed the Darkspear tribe to the Broken Isles where the attempted to reestablish their society. While here, Ishi-yo taught her young ward the proper way to contact the elements. The spirits of the Darkspear's ancestors spoke to him nightly as he began walking the path of the shaman, and Mulungu developed a strong connection the Spirits.

There wasn't much time for peace though, as soon after arriving on the Broken Isles, the Darkspear tribe was soon attacked by murlocs being led by the naga sea witch Zar'jira. The tribe was losing the fight, as many of their strongest warriors had been killed or wounded in the flight from Stranglethorn. All seemed lost until the orcs arrived, led by their Warchief Thrall. Thall's orcish warriors aided the Darkspear in their fight, allowing them to leave the islands. However, in the battle, the Darkspear's leader Sen'jin was captured and sacrificed to the sea witch. As they left their islands behind, Sen'jin's son Vol'jin took over the tribe, and swore the Darkspear's allegiance to the Horde.

The trolls and their new allies arrived on the shores of Kalimdor. Establishing themselves on the new continent wasn't easy and everyone was put to work. Ishi-yo settled with the rest of the tribe on the Echo Isles and continued to train Mulungu in the ways of the shaman, and over the next decade he grew into a fine young shaman. However, misfortune struck again as the Darkspear were forced to flee from the Echo Isles when Zalazane hexed many Darkspear troll and announced himself their ruler.

Mulungu missed out on the battle to stop the Burning Legion at Mount Hyjal, the re-opening of the Dark Portal into Outland, and the war against the Lich King in Northrend. However, he would come of age in time to aid the Darkspears in the retaking of the Echo Isles and to lend his skills as a shaman to the efforts to heal the world after Deathwing's cataclysm was unleashed. What does life have in store for this young troll now, as Azeroth teeters on the brink of total annihilation? Only time will tell...
