Volley was a lame spell.
Frankly I had no idea how it even worked indoors. Next, if somebody shot an arrow or a bullet straight up, there is no way to tell where it's going to land.
GUYS HUNTERS DONT' USE MANA ANY MORE WTF!
I don't like the change. Yeah, volley doesn't make that much sense as a spell, but using that as the main arguing point behind the change just isn't justified. There are tons of other spells in the game that, "don't make sense.".
Anyway, even with trap launcher and explosive trap they damn well better make multi-shot amazing, and the only way I could see them doing this and still keep hunter aoe competitive is to make it unlimited targets and no cooldown.
I'm here to make a prediction. In about 2 years during the previews for the next expansion. Hunters lvl 90 spell will be "Arrow Cascade = Continuously fires a cascade of ammo at the target area, causing [RAP * 0.083700 + 2785] physical damage to enemy targets within 8 yards every sec for 6 sec."
I kidd i kidd... Maybe..

ya idd...multi shot would be much cooler as an AoE
An ability that was only usefull for playing Recount on trash is gone. Good riddance.
The only thing they did wrong was actually removing Volley before the alternative was implemented. Hence the QQ'ing.
there is:
x = v0 cos(A) + x0
v0= velocity of shooting the arrow
A= angle
x0= place where you launch it
x= place where it lands
on topic: I think if they're removing these magic-spells, arcane shot will be the next one to disappear, or they should rename it. Imbuing an arrow with magic is in the same class than making arrows rain from the ceiling.
