    GT220 vs 9800GT

    Hi.

Last week my 9800GT stopped working for unknown reason (the PC was off for about a month and when I turned it back up it appearntly "broke" it).
Anyhow the guy who took care of my PC suggested I would replace my card with the 220GT

Now I've read online that 220GT isn't as good as the 9800GT. But my question is how much ?
I mean I'm not a crazy gamer but I did enjoy the performance my 9800GT gave me with movie editing (AAE/3DS/Vegas) and games (Not anything crazy - MW2/WOW, maybe the heaviest game I ran was crysis...)

Anyway I wanted to know if I put 220GT instead of my 9800GT (Since I don't really have a choice here I have to replace it) how low would my PC's performance gonna go ?

My machine is also e8400 with 4gb ram

Thanks in advance for your help

A better question would be how much do you have to spend?

And did you verify that the machine boots without the video card? My thought is that the psu might have died and it's looking like bad video.

Video is a Palit GTS450. Main display is a 24" full HD TV. Secondary display is an ACER 19" lcd at 1440x900.
