no offense but you are an idiot. to have a patch there has to be content. not only has there been no content on the PTR but there was never even a mention of a 3.9 in the first place. What would this so called 3.9 include? the Gnome and Troll events? nope that's a holiday type event that they only have to switch on.

The downtime is to upgrade the server hardware to be ready for cataclysm when it comes out IN A FEW MONTHS. you still have a few months of ICC

I do not see how he is an idiot, and also it is not akin to a holiday... It is a one time occurrence and has not been added to the MPQ files as far as I am aware... I believe that Blizzard has also stated that there will be a separate patch before the 4.0 pre-cataclysm release patch is released.
