I, for one, greatly wish for Linux support. As most of us know, WoW originally had Linux support in the Beta release, but it was withdrawn. Possibly because of so many different Linux distributions, but they all run off the same Kernel so it should be simple. Currently we can get it working via Wine, but I've yet to be able to get WoW to run under Wine with the same performance as I have on Windows, as I top out at around 20 FPS (And that's pretty sad since I have a 9800GT and 3G Ram). WoW is pretty much the only thing preventing me from using Linux over Windows entirely, and surely I'm not the only one that expresses that sentiment?
While I do understand the potential reluctance due to a limited market, Mac OS X has support and it is a market FAR more limited than Windows, and it's userbase has close numbers to Linux. As far as technical limitations go, Linux runs on a Unix-like platform which is similar to Mac OS X. It would potentially even be easier for Blizzard to develop WoW if they added Linux support, as programming is easier on Linux than other platforms. Hell, many film production companies and animation/visual effects companies have migrated to Linux, including Pixar and Industrial Light & Magic.
EDIT: Totally fubar'd the title. Lol.
