So now that we are just basically a month away from Blizzcon.
What are you excepting to see at this years Blizzcon?
For me im guessing they are going to release the Cataclysm's Cinematic.

This. I know everything I could want to know about Cataclysm. All I want to do at this point is play it - I find myself having trouble caring a whole lot about new info that I can't actually play with.

The new MMO is Blizzard's wildcard, I want to see them pull it.

A month? I thought it's September 22 or so... that would give us a week... well, a bit more.

And what am I waiting for? Hmm.... I'm not interested in D3, so I will pass on that one. I want date (more or less) of the Heart of the Swarm expansion to SC2. About Cata I know almost everything I want to...

Oh man, that would be amazing. I'm sure there will be plenty of D3 and SC2 information, but I don't see much WoW related that they could have for us... the cinematic would be perfect to debut at BlizzCon. My wife thinks they may have held back some models and she would be dead on if they redid all the player models. I hope they redo the rest of the druid forms as well... it's great that Trolls and Worgens got new cats and bears, Flight Form for Alliance and Horde look phenomenal already, but all the rest are horribly dated. Perhaps since we're all aware of the current content they'll tease us with t12 content? I can't think of a time that they've given us information 2 tiers ahead of time, but if they have nothing else to give us, perhaps they will.

I doubt they'll be ready to give us any information about the new MMO... although I would be thoroughly pleased. It's even less likely they'd bother giving us information about the next WoW expansion with Cataclysm (supposedly) less than a month after BlizzCon. It'll be at least next year before we start hearing about that. I'm thinking Cata gave them MUCH more work than BC or WotLK because of the old world redesign, so we may go back to a 1yr6mo expansion length like BC and we may even here about the beta for that expansion that year.

Blizzard to give us our money back. And since that will never happen in an infinite amount of years, I'll settle for the release date of Cataclysm.

hmm, so to speculate a little bit
i think also they will show the Cata cinematic and since they will announce release date prior to BlizzCon as of WoW they will prolly just show everything we have seen already, in a nicer package and presentation.
i think that Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 expansion will get some bigger attention. On last BlizzCon Diablo 3 looked pretty good, a year later i hope they have a release date in mind. They said they wont put 3 games out in one year, so i hope we will see D3 out in spring 2011.
and then in the summer or fall, SC2 Zerg expansion.
So i think it will be a nice mix of Cata, D3 and SC2 exp info on this year BlizzCon.

It would be nice if they say something about the Warcraft movie also :P

I doubt we'll get the launch date - I think we'll hear about that beforehand. They've given 2 months notice in the past, and while it's not a hard and fast rule, I think we're bound to get that much notice. Of course, if you don't buy into a potential November release, they yeah, they may give us a release date targeted for January+. If they really do break the 2 year mark on this expansion, I desperately hope that they plan for another tier of content next time. : /

Indeed it would! I think Sam Raimi is tied up though... I'm not sure if any work has actually been done yet.

To those wanting to see the Cataclysm release date announcement at Blizzcon, I sure don't. If they wait until then that would probably mean a January release and most of us are expecting a November release which means the announcement should be incoming within a week.

If MMO-champ is correct and the release date of Nov 2 is correct, this would be awful late for a cinematic release also. If the release date is later in November, then it wouldn't be a bad time for a cinematic.

I think what I'd like to see more than anything is something unexpected but nice or useful. I would like to see a Tabbard rack, more bank spaces or an updated banking system. There is just too much stuff in the game now for the amount of bank space available.

I know player housing isn't exactly on the to-do list but it could take the form of purchasing a townhouse in a major city that is instanced and has space for tabards and out of date gear you don't want to destroy or consume bank space with. It could also be a place where you can leave stuff for alts who would also have access to the house instead of having to use the mail system.

New hero class. lol lol, But yeah, it will give us the official launch date of cataclysm and Diablo 3 stuff I guess.
Like someone said in a post before me, can't see the new MMO being announced till next blizzcon, after Cataclysm fever dies down

I really think WoW is going to be more or less the back page story at this years event. The majority of the focus is likely going to be on Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2's expansions. Frankly I would be surprised to see any actual information for the new MMO outside of a possible name and setting. For WoW stuff I would expect to see the cinematic, the official release date if not announced yet, and the new refined content patch schedule with an overview of what each patch is going to contain.

Yeah, I'm afraid this year will suck, and its my first year going. I don't expect much. I do hope they reveal new player models, but thats basically a fantasy.
