True...but who says it will be that way? I like to be a little more optimistic and think that it will be soon. Maybe 2 weeks minimum but who knows? They're patching the PTR right now as we speak for fixes or whatever seeing as the servers are down Originally Posted by Naposim1337

I just ran the WoW Launcher (For Live) as administrator and it seemed to work for me. Also try running the Background Downloader normally or as Admin.

my downloader says "waiting for files to close" nothing happens. Oh well its too late for wow anyway,

For anyone who is having problems in the EU Region downloading this. Just go to your wow files, and run the background downloader as administrator....and its 1.74gb... And it is downloading at an abnormally fast rate...my PC must have took its prozac lol

I got excited when the login screen said "download required".
I thought "ooh, are the pre-cataclysm events starting??!
It downloaded something. It doesn't seem to have done anything though.

Guys can you please check WoW instalation directory / folder Cache there must be a torrent file BackgroundDownloader if the size is other then 140KB can you please upload it. Im asking EU ppl
And if you want to check what patch are you downloading just start this file and it should just que in your torrent downloader program...

Does anyone possibly have a mirror download available/will have one? When I download from Blizzard, I get terrible speeds, around 20kb/s, which is a far cry from my usual speed.
There are so many frivolous things in this world.

Is there a reason I'm recieving 0 download from blizzard servers? I'm having to only download from peers and I'm at like 20 kbs... 55 hours... WOOT.

Gah... I really want to figure out why I'm downloading at 30 kb/s...
When a cat is dropped, it ALWAYS lands on its feet; and when toast is dropped, it ALWAYS lands with the buttered side down.
Therefore, I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat. When dropped, the two will hover, spinning inches above the ground.
A "buttered-cat array" could easily allow a high-speed monorail to link between New York with Chicago.
