Running wild was not the first time they tried this and i think it is only fitting in Cata that they bring this back for Tauren too.

I think kodos are quite fitting and by now integrated into tauren society. They don't need plainsrunning anymore. Also because they aren't nomads anymore but settled down.

The old style plainsrunning they once had (but eventually scrapped) fit Tauren quite well. It essentially meant they needed to run for a while to get up to speed, much like you'd expect from the Tauren. They aren't really quick types normally, but they get up to speed if given some time. I don't think this new implementation would fit them, as they aren't as agile as the Worgen are.

God, i wanna hit you! Why don't anybody understand, Running Wild is a mount, only with the looks of going down on all four legs. Plainsrunning was a whole other ability, which made you run for 10 seconds before getting the benefits. Running Wild require you to be out of command, use 1.5 seconds to start running, and you'll loose the effect indoors.

learn your troll's, namely the one's with recentish (under 1 year old a/c's) who claim the all knowing experience of an ex-vanilla player and how awesome it was, because really if ALL these trolls enjoyed the "real" awesome of pre-bc, then it really can't have been as unique as they claim...
TLDR; plainsrunnign was stupid ..> Tauren aren't known for agility and speed, plainsrunning logically also would end with the tauren running so fast he fell over.(or whacked in the face by a mob ><)

They couldn't implement the same 1.5 second cooldown and mount aura to taurens and have them run faster. How impossible.

The point is that plainsrunning =/= running wild. People want plainsrunning back because someone else got a mildly similar effect, which is just plain retarded. Not all furries have to run really fast. Originally Posted by Talkryn

It's not Plainsrunning, it's note even a remotely similar mechanic. Running Wild will be, for all intents and purposes and mechanics, just a mount without an actual mount model to sit on. Plainsrunning was not a cast time, it was automatically activated after the Tauren ran for X number of seconds, and also did not share many other mount mechanics either, other than the speed.

You don't want it cuz it'll be at all useful or worthwhile for Blizz to implement; you just want it because it looks cool and you're jealous.
Enjoy everything else you're getting, and don't whine about the cool things other races have. If you want to experience Running Wild, roll a Worgen.

100% running speed without a mount is fine aslong it stays @ the alliance side,

They are not mildly similar. Plainsrunning was completely different. And it sucked. It was scrapped for a reason. IF they would add it back (which they probably wont), then they would implement it like running wild (your tauren would assume a sprint pose I guess). Originally Posted by link064
