Guild Housing Coming Soon!

Blizzard has announced that with the release of of Mobile Guild Chat they will begin work on there newest project Guild Housing.

Pretty soon players will be able to purchase or rent apartments or "dorms" conveniently located in one massive development. currently plans are to group homes by server and further divide them by faction and guild. Many experts feel this will allow guild mate to bond better on a more personal level and replace the heavy criticized loss of human interaction that many gamers are reportedly suffering from of late.

Residences will be available as a type of summer camp activity or on a more permanent basis for older gamers.

Many of the residences and landscaping will be themed with world of warcraft art and architecture styles to provide an even more immerse experience for players. Complete with top of the line internet connections and start of the art LAN party rooms players will experience the highest quality game play available without having to deal with the common problems, such as lag, disconnects, or faulty computers, that typically hinder top player. Also all the amenities of a major city will be located on the ground floors of the builds or neighboring buildings such as restaurants and coffee shops, all world of warcraft themed of course.

I do have to ask though, has player housing ever added any good aspect to the game other than another thing to waste money on, based on other mmos. Only thing I see it as is another place to hearth, log out, and afk, that would have little to no value in the game. So why do we want blizzard wasting time making that instead of actual content we would use?
