It is really confusing since we can't even be sure if it's gonna delete our old files (past 4.0 since they will be useless) or we are gonna have about 3GB of unused stuff taking space... but forgetting about the old world zones and maps and all of that, I'd go around 3-5GB (no patches included,ofcourse)

well the ptr with the old world changes hiding deep in the depths is about 16gb (probably wrong but i do know its very hefty) but since that has all the old world changes on it, when you get the disc finally i have no idea how much will be added. Originally Posted by Luuxx

Wow, really hard to guess.. the Beta and the PTR downloaded the whole game, so I doubt the expansion will be over 10GB
I'd say 6-7GB is a reasonable guess.

total, around 30GB, this includes the patches we've downloaded already and some of the patches you know are gunna come and nerf everything.

Since you don't have to buy the expansion to get the world changes, I would say what comes on the disk will be very small. The changes to the entire world are happening for everyone minus the new zones.
The Patch to 4.0 is the bulk of Cataclysm. I bet its only a few gig at best.

I don't quite remember how it went down with WoTLK, but for some reason I don't think you'll need to patch anything up on release, if you have the DVD version of Cata. Originally Posted by Luuxx

Beta is 20GB including (150mb on patches), my guess it will be probably be around 15GB to 20GB.
Oh and you don't delete porn, you archive them on CDs and hide them under your bed :').ALTF4.
