Now that they have standardized pet damage across the board, my spirit beast Skoll is the only option.
Does anybody know if they fixed the spirit beast prowl glitch where enemies can see them as if they are in party?Last edited by Malkaedus; 2010-10-01 at 08:01 PM.

spirit beast looks good for soloing, then i'll swap out whatever we lack in the raid for the rest of the pets.

Regardless of pet buffs and how they'd contribute to efficiency of leveling, I'll use my cat, Claws. Had the spotted fellow since I ran through Badlands to get to searing gorge at 46. Only replaced him with a fiercer looking model in sholazaar, the pet's probably older than most of my alts.
For vanity purposes, I'll probably use my Slime or Hydra in largely populated places, just cos a Hydra is too awesome to not show off. ^^

I haven't seen all the pet changes, but for the time being, I will probably level with my warp stalker. I use him now for dailies and pull out the wolf for instances and raids. Can't beat a tank that gets to the mob instantly.

Probably going to stick with my plague hound until I get a Fox and see how that goes. I want to eventually collect every type of pet so I can offer a wide variety of abilities for raiding.

Bear will likely be the ideal questing pet in terms of tankability for non-BM, else Cat for the great AP boost from Agl and the crit to go with it. For a tank-like pet for BM I am thinking Worm and it has Burrow Strike as the exotic skill which isn't accounted for on the spread sheet, and dps wise for leveling Spirit Beast because it is a Cat + healing, perfect.
The whole stable of pets will come into play for instances and raiding, so go tame them all if you want to be a well rounded hunter... or a pokemon collector =p
