About Them Shadow Orbs..

So, Shadow Orbs got a new Model in the latest Build.
Ill let you decide how you think they look(:

They also got a different 'spawn' animation. Gonna get a pic of that quick.

[e2] : Also, they have a pretty neat fade animation, but I cant really capture that in a screenie.
Picture the inside of the orb fading first, while a transparent, celestial-like border fades second.
And I also think they may still tweak it further, because as you gain more orbs, the ones you have fade out while 2 more appear, and 2 appear when you get each orb, meaning a total of 2 at all times, not matter the stack. Id imagine this isnt meant to be, but -shrug-

Another one, The border Im talking about is the ring you see there. And also, that border rotates around the dark part of the orb while orbiting around you.

I am not sure what your trying to say. As far as I know the previous shadow orb animation used was basically the same as the water shield for shamans, just purple. The new animation shown in Autumnqt's pics and Kaesebrezen's video shows a totally new animation that is unique to shadow preists as far as I know (I have not seen that animation before on any ability that I am aware of, I could be wrong).

yes it was pretty much a purple water shield.... the new animation is sexy imo, which proves that blizzard really is trying to add some new/cool visual effects in cata

there was a time long ago the each priest bearing race effected a spell the priests' had one was a shadow damage shield buff much like lighting shield.
thats what they reused for the shadow orbs, it more or less was lighting shield with black orbs instead of lighting orbs.

Wow i cant make sense of the post above me, l2englsih bro, but I'm likin' the new animations for shadow orbs, my hopes now is that they fix our wings from coming out of our torso, although who knows haha

Actually, they meant the old Shadow Orb animation was the same as the one for the old troll racial spell, Shadowguard. Shadowguard used to look exactly the same as Lightning Shield, then it got the new animation, then Priest Racial spells got removed.

I quite like the way the look now.. especially the fact that u get 2 orbs per stack (meaning 6 all in all) instead of just 3, that just makes it look so much cooler : D

Awwe now I see what was implied that the new shadow orb was basically just a retread of shadowguard, missed that one, it seems so long ago. In any event the new shadow orb spell is pretty awesome and seperates us from looking like current shamans.

He just thinks the mastery is good, which is quite sad, because its not.
Look at Afflic locks, who are the most comparable to shadow priests, they get flat dot damage......

It's one of the few masteries which actually changes your playstyle, and if it is found to be a big damage loss compared to the other ones then it will be buffed. I much prefer something interesting to a passive damage bonus.

Man I was fine the the old shadow orbs from days past, but this is super awesome, quite looking forward to shadow.

Looks really nice, though no matter what you change them to, people are going to QQ that it's copying shaman orbs.
