Most people arguing for a vanilla server, dosent REALY want the vanilla play.. they are just stuck with memories, and they only remember the good parts.. humans work that way. Just look at childbirth.. If moms would remember the process, would they get another kid? People doing military service, always tell stories about how awesome it was, and almost never the lame parts...

Suggested many times, but dismissed by blizzard just as many.
They will not run servers which are a step backwards in how the game has evolved.
The game has moved forward, and so therefore can the players.

As stated by previous poster, this has been brought up many times here, and many times on the official forums.
The search function on either would have likely shown that.

There is to be potentially a temporary levelling down process you can later utilise, which would allow playing of classic content at the applicable level without the need to dedicate realms or you to dedicate a character to it, though I am sure it was more intended for levelling with friends/family.
It was described as a mentoring system I believe.

Naxx moved to NR, ZG is gone, AQ is gone, BWL is gone.
I think Molten Core is the only one left. With Rag being resummoned by Deathwing, i'm sure MC is gone too.

It's already been said, but the only reason people even ask for a vanilla server is because of those fond memories you've had of it...
do yourself a favor... remember those awesome cartoons/movies you watched when you were younger, and remember how good they were? now go watch them... you'll feel like going back in time to smack your younger self and ask why did you even like it! it's the nostalgia of it, and it's best if you just left it alone, cos then you'll screw up those fond memories you did have...

A classic server would just be the old server, as it was when WoW came out.

So all the changes that have been made since (moving raids, deleting raids) wouldn't have happened.
