So many doom and gloom threads, personally I am happy and excited for all of our changes? Anyone else? I like the searing totem, ghost wolf and upgrade to chain lightning. What are you favorite additions to our class? I'm going to be spending tonight regemming and reforging hoping to get a couple raids in, but what are you guys looking forward too?

No, searing totem is not exciting. I would be excited if it's pulses put a buff on us instead of a debuff on the mob it randomly targets. We'll see about the rest of it.

The actual totems system doesn't help. Instead, i'm looking forward for the DK.

That still doesn't help the fact that it's a 5 stack. Like I said, if it was a buff on the shaman it would be fine.

true, however they did buff the damage output considerably, i think it will even out, maybe if they add a glyph that removes the consuming part.....?

I can agree with the 5 stack, I do wish it was shorter(mostly for PVP), but alot of the changes are things we've needed. I was not in the beta, but did ALOT of testing on the PTR and personally enjoy the changes. The switch from haste to agi is a big one for me personally, I love hitting more and mael coming up faster, but missed the bigger hits from WF. Now, WF and LL are both huge hits in PVE again, and I enjoy the ghost wolf feature.

Hopefully it is working as intended now, the searing totem seemed to break every other PTR patch. I was trying to get it to attack last night on the PTR and it would not do so no matter what I did.

I am kind of excited for the changes, the new place style feels so slow compared to WotLK-style enhance but I am sure I will get used to it. That or just go Elemental.

In fact, I'd say I'm dreading Cataclysm on my Shaman. Probably gonna switch to my Warrior or Mage. Neither of which I love playing.

Kinda. I'm excited about the mobility issues being fixed at long last. I'm excited that our DPS is a lot closer to other melee. I'm not excited about Searing Totem's idiotic AI, the clunky Lava Lash mechanic, or a Stormstrike glyph that now does literally nothing because they forgot to change it.

I'm excited. There's no point in worrying about any problems anyone has between now and cata launch, and any problems that persist at 85 will be fixed in the first major patch of cataclysm.

really the only thing I'm concerned about is that in wotlk, enh was the king of dps in heroics and low-end raids because they were less gear dependent than the other classes, and Ret paladins sucked, but in 4.0 and on it looks like Ret will be a more viable PvE dps spec. So I'm worried that enh may get out dps'd by ret in heroics and early raids.

There are many enhance shammy's in beta who think you should keep the haste gems and not regem into agi for that.

Oh well im excited if it doesnt cost me a fortune to regem. So i hope the haste testers are right!

Yes i am excited, i've played a shaman since - oh forever, and like every other shaman i've dreamed of the day GW would become usable indoors, and not only is that the case we get a regular run speed buff too!

You don't need to regem in WotLK because we already have a TON of crit. Cata will probably revert back to agility for the AP scaling and crit which we will be losing alot of while leveling.
