Pve feral dps is fine

feral pvp got buffed and feral pve is pretty much the same.

in my crappy gear 6k gs a few 251 and a 245 peice of gear and i do a constant 7k dps on Hm training dummy

Search "Thecows" up on armory Server-blackrock for my gear

what i changed, all i did was complelty gem everysingle thing agility except the 10+ all stats, and reforge pretty much everything too add mastery (i have 18 mastery), the talent spec is obvious if yo've played feral for a while so figure it out on your own or go look in another thread

Prime glyphs i use

Shred, Savage roar, Rip

Major glyphs

fercious bite optional, i glyphed for it as it better later on under 25% health.

trinkets i use DBW, and token--(very good)---for what im doing


my rotation is get 3 stacks of FF

get all the buffs up as usual rip,sr,rake, mangle keep them up

and forget ferocious bite just forget it unless boss is under 25% health.


So keep all the dots up make sure u refresh the half second it falls off ..well if it's a dot and SR 100% uptime

once everything is up just SPAM SHRED SHRED SHRED SHRED SHRED SHRED SHRED if u get over 5 combo points Just spam SRHED even more don't stop untill u need to refresh ur rip or savarage rawr and after that spam shred even more and more

tips

Use rake right after tigers fury or rip after tiges fury for 15% bonus dmg during full duration


once you get under 25% spam fercious bite like u spammed shred Spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam spam


easy as that i do 7k dps on Hm training dummy

That seems like a lot of work.... I didnt change any gear as a boomkin, and instant cast spam about 8k using nothing but sunfire/insect swarm/ instant cast starsurges.....(In solar eclipse ofcourse)

I don't think the issue was ever if the kitty's will do more damage in the new patch, but more of if they are in a good place in comparison to the other dps, and whether the spec feels right.

I don't know about you, but yesterday i could easaly pop some furious bites in there, more then before the patch.

I was QQ'ing very hard. It took me 6k gold to fix my gear. Before 4.0 i had 100% arp and ~64% crit. Don't know what was my dummy dps before patch but i was trying to learn my new rotation(unfortunately without feral by night) and dps was quite decent i would say. Was hitting dummy for 5-7 minutes and when i stopped i had 9.3k dps. So i guess it's not that bad.

Well i fired up recount, No other addons as i cant find a nice addon like feral by night to track my dots so its all looking here there and everywhere to track things and my glyphs are perfect, And i did a nice 9k dps on target dummy.. MORE then i did before :/ i will try again in abit with realy glyphs but it seems ferals got Hot fixxed? and there kinda fun agian, maybe i will level mine in cata instead of warrior...

Rather than try and address multiple threads, I'm just going to plop our current thoughts in this one post. Please excuse the brevity.

1) We think Fury, Arms, Feral cat and Retribution dps is too low and we will be buffing them.

Im doing 9.5k stable DPS (still gemmed crit / under hit capped and under expertise cap) There was 100% hot fix last night and it was nice :P Im enjoying feral again atm! tho... Confused if i should reforge my crit or haste into mastery :/ haste is nice for my energy regen tho atm crit gemmed i have 72% crit in cat, Will change gems to agil and ge tmy hit cap with blue gems.

Now I have not theory crafted the PTR or Beta but I know that at the beginning of February before I quit (when I was progressing pre-buff putri 25), I would do about 8.5k-9k dps depending on my luck with 2 combo point shreds. On a heroic dummy it would be about 5.5k.

Feral's benefit immensely from buffs being available AND the mangle debuff already being active. So when you have to put up the mangle debuff yourself and do not have haste/ap/agility buffs etc you get a big dent in your DPS.

Like I said, I can't comment on PTR/Beta because I haven't tried it, but 251/245 doing 7k on a dummy? Sounds pretty damn good to me.

ok... after reading through this post... I too went back to my cat... number are for sure up... im sitting at about 9k sustained... if u want to see how I have regemmed/ refourged look me up on the armoury......

One thing I steel feel/ miss is the burst... I know also that aoe'ing the trash packs in ICC is mindless and useless and that "its the bosses that count"... but i think im really going to miss rake > SV + TF > beserk > swipe > 30/40k dps lol... oh well..

Your armory shows you in tank items and i mis the OP aoe dps to but... im happy my single target dps is fine :P aoe isnt an issue ^^

well... if i remember ríght full i264 with a few 277. 4 pieces T10... I reforoged all my armour/weapons to mastery at the cost of my crit... hit is about 5- 6% expertise about 5%.. Haste is about 32%. Gemming was most Agilty with some haste.. So there is still some room for improvement with regards to hit and expertise.. my crit atm does seem low... sitting at about 58% i think.. This is all completely unbuffed ofc.

I'm going to log back in now.. goal is 9.5-10k..im pretty sure timing TF better b4 rips and better use of beserk will make a good difference.. Will try to get some good SS of recount details soyou can see the brk down of the attacks.
