so where in the patch notes it says that spellstone and firestone have been removed? can't seem to find it, and they are defiantly gone from my spellbook

Blizz removed them, was stated some time ago that they will be removed. Odd indeed that they didnt include it in the patch notes.

Lol, same here. I had hoped to save one of the old Soul Shards as well. But alas, they were all gone.
