    Buff Frame Addon

I have used Satrina Buff Frames for a long time now, and seems with the 4.0.1 patch, its broken due the "consolidate buff" idea blizzard brought in, and it doesnt seem like its being updated anymore.
Does anyone no of a good buff frame addon? basically i want to customise the positions of my buffs and debuffs, and create a new frame where i can show specific buffs/debuffs in them as wel.

    answers apreciated trolls not.

SBF's creator was on a WoW break and wasn't paying attention to WoW news/times
SBF should be updated soon but don't hold your breath for a quick update, theres a few other nice ones out there that do a similar job with less awesome

Satrina is working on it it seems. I swear by SBF so I'll probably just wait until it's updated. Um you could try Elkano's buff bars, it's the only other one I know of, although I couldn't stand it when I tried it. Perhaps it got better ?

Edit. Xs beat me to it

elkanos buff bar produces errors too at the moment :<
but i found three working buff frame addons:
    http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...ils/bison.aspx Bison
    http://www.ctmod.net/downloads/ CT_BuffMod
    http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...asicbuffs.aspx Basic Buffs

maybe one of them fits you

Elkano's Buff Bars are probably the 2nd best but they're more suited to buff bars rather than just buff icons, but can be configured to do either
Buffalo is also good, more towards icons than bars but not as polished as SBF or EBB
    Bison is similar to Buffalo
CT_buffs is very basic but it does the job

No guarentees on any of these working, I haven't sorted buff frames yet since my UI already used almost standard placement using SBF

ebb does not work good atm
buffalo has not been updated, but it could work (did not test it -> dunno)
bison& ct_bm worked both for me
but i dont realy like icons so i took ct :P

if you cant work with those two, you will probably have to wait some days :>

thanks for the help, i wil stick sith satrina when it comes back working, its by far the best one for the job in my opinion, wil give Bison and ct_bm a try til then tho.

Confirmed. Elkano Buff Bars is throwing out an infinite number of LUA errors.

Despite having them disabled, I have problems viewing any of the default UI buffs on my Shadow Priest. :/
For my other chars, the default buff UI works fine. Any ideas?

I'm looking for an addon that just lets me MOVE the standart buff and debuff frames, I've tried buffalo and buffology but both of them are broken. Any ideas?

Bison is derived from Buffalo apparantly, and I have used that sucessfully.
Again for customisation, then PhanxBuffs is a good option.
Though for just the movement, then you could try (untested myself) BasicBuffs @ Curse.

    Would "MoveAnything" work?

Just tried Bison and BasicBuffs and they didn't work. The buff/debuff bar was completely gone when I logged in with the addons, and now that I have disabled them they are still gone. *sigh* So now I have no buff/debuff frames at all, any idea how to fix that?

  16. #16
No idea on why the bar would remain in such a state with them disabled.
My thought would be another addon intefering.

  17. #17
Ok I've disabled all Addons and now the buff/debuff frames are back. Tested those 3 addons again, now with all other addons disabled:

Bison: Doesn't work at all, all buff/debuff frames disappear.
BasicBuffs: Only let's me move the buffs, not the debuffs.
PhanxBuffs: Let's me move the stuff but doesn't show durations.

Well I guess PhanxBuffs is better than nothing for now T_T

Did you check to make sure timers are enabled in Blizzard settings? I think they're turned off by default.

  19. #19
Or it may be that the timers are created by OmniCC or similar.

On a side note - Satrina Buff Frames is updated for 4.0.1 - Satrina Buff Frames 3 @ wowinterface.
