I ran my stats through Mew and over an 8 minute fight with typical raid buffs it is still saying crit is slightly more valuable than haste even with an average item level of 358.

Gino, based on Mew, crit is worth about 0.004 more than haste. They're pretty much equally good.


Using Mew I've had a few confusing findings. On my own character I'm currently using Fluid Druid and ilvl 372 Essence of the Cyclone. In Mew, swapping Essence for Unheeded Warning is a 100 DPS-gain. However, swapping Essence for Tia's Grace is a 600 DPS-gain. I'm not sure I want to trust those results. Anyone noticed something similar? Oh, swapping Fluid Death for Unheeded Warning is a 300 DPS-loss.

Hi, im currently debating on going 4T11 or just going offpieces, not sure what will be better, since T11 is horrbly itemised besides pants.
im thinking offpieces with mastery+crit in every slot will outweight 4 piece bonus? if not any idea how much DPS loss would it be? if not much then i would rather not go 4T11, 2T11 and the rest offpieces with mastery+Crit.

4set is a 400 DPS-increase over going 2P and offpieces.

so what u saying, losing 40 energy every min(since its 1extra mangle every 25-30sec) and a shitloads of mastery is better then 660 AP? cuz thats what i will have with my current gear 22000 AP +3%... and another timer to worry about. i have 3k VPs, and i just cant find any solid info on either to go 4T11 or not!

Those 660 AP is on top of all the other stats you have. And considering 1 mastery is only worth about 0.1 more DPS than crit/haste and about 0.2 better than hit/expertise and AP worth 1 DPS, there has to be some gain.

Since the value of 1 ap is pretty close to the value of 1 mastery, you would have to gain over 600 mastery then. Looking at my latest WoL, shred hits about 50% harder than mangle (15k vs 10k), but also costs 5 more energy. This extra energy would be spent on more shreds. With shred's DPE being around 650 according to mew, this extra energy gains you 3.2k dmg. So -7.5k+3.2k = 4.3k dmg lost per minute. This is 72 dps. 1 point of AP has a dps value of about 1.25 according to Mew. Since aggression is already applied, the AP from the 4T11 bonus will be worth 1.25/1.25 = 1 dps per ap. So 660 - 72 = 580 dps. Since the buff has to be stacked up first, this goes down a little more, but it'll still easily be a 400 dps gain from 4T11 bonus. While by replacing a T11 piece with a nonset piece you'll gain 80-100 dps at most, so 200 dps at most if you go from 4T11 to 2T11.

To all of you who are confused with the behaviour of crit and haste; here is a general guideline:

- Item level 346: Crit > Haste
- Item level 359: Crit ~ Haste
- Item level 372: Crit < Haste

For exact values for your particular gear combination I strongly recommend to download Mew and insert your stats there. Also, Simulation provides more accurate information than Formulation.

i currently still have everything reforged like it was on 4.0.3 ;P

so mastery as nr1 stats and crit as 2nd but my mew is now telling me haste is worth more then crit (i am ilvl 358)

Guys, If You switch trinkets in Mew, remember to adjust the stats, for ex. agility, when swapping H:EotC to Tia's Grace, because there may lie the huge dps "increase". Ofc I don't accuse You of doing that, I simply say it can be the case here

Also whats the best pieces for 4 -set?

So you exchange doing less damage when you're really unlucky for doing less damage all the time.

I'm not sure if I used Mew corectly (never bothered to do that before... yeah I know, don't comment) and what Ive got looked like that:
1. If I go full for haste at the cost of crit I'll have around 1.5k+ haste and 0.9k+ crit and it gives me 1.56 weight for haste and 1.61 crit
2. If I go full for crit at the cost of haste I'll have around 1.5k+ crit and 0.9k+ haste and it gives me 1.56 weight for crit and 1.61 haste
3. If I try to get both ~ same (1.2k+ both crit and haste) then both have basicly same weight 1.585

So for me it looks like keeping them ~ same is best option. If someone would like to check it for themselves you can take my stats from armory - Calathiell from eu Turalyon.

i went all out whit crit (wel stil used mastery as first stat) and it also tell me haste is better now.

it bothers me tha i dont understand why it is tellling me this :P like i know why i avoid hit & haste, i know why mastery get better and better but i have no idea how having more crit can make haste better then haveing even more crit :/
