    Deathwing's Flight Path in cinematic.

First off, if you look in the background as he flies over Auberdine it looks exactly like the area he erupted from. However, we all know that North of Auberdine is Teldrassil.

    He flies south over Auberdine...

...and the next scene has him flying North over the dam in Loch Modan.

Then he proceeds to turn around and fly south over Stormwind landing at it's main gates ending the cinematic.

Now if the scenes in the cinematic played out linearly Deathwing's flight path should look like this:

Anyone else find the pathing a bit odd?

    It isn't played out linearly.

    This.

People need to stop taking the cinematic so literally.

Actual the smoke trail when he is seen aproching stormwind passes over dun morogh (spelling?) and comes from the sea towards the maelstrom. Im pretty sure blizzard may have had a path but the cinimatic shows his most changed zones and places that gave him that epic feel. Like being able to soar that fast from somewhere and over darkshore O_o

    Dots represent shots.
This is from the other thread and seems like a much more accurate representation of his flight path.

You forgot the part where he stops in the Badlands, and then gets punched in the face and thrown back to Kalimdor.

He also makes an appearance in Kezan during the goblin starting quests.

Fairly sure they just took whatever looked the coolest and most enticing for the video and didn't really consider the timeline. Plus he looks like he's flying at about 600% speed with all that pent up rage.

    Maybe he had some powerthirst?

first, i want to punch everybody that makes a thread about this. It's not a linear path, and it's not "in real time" it may take him hours or days to fly from Auberdine to Stormwind if you really want to make the CINEMATIC realistic. Also, No, you're COMPLETELY wrong about the fact he's flying over auberdine from the north. he flies over the dock from the east, which is the direction of moonglade. STOP BEING BAD AND STOP TRYING TO MAKE THE CINEMATIC MORE THAN IT IS.

    Who cares? It's not linear.
I reported lamb of log twice, once for having a slow car and once for trolling.

    This bears repeating.

Actually i think he shows he could fly from one place to another pretty fast. But the second map is probably the most reailistic, but rember he probably did lots of side attack, dives, soars upwards etc so his path is a little wonky and flexible. Also i would go off that because it is all the initial damage and as the citizens in stormwind say in cataclysm, that big dragon just flew away.. which would mean he probably made his way to twilight highlands but that is where all of his stops in the badlands, etc come in.

Prolly not linearly, but Im wondering what the true path of him has been...especially where it started...cant believe it started in Teldrassil....also due to teldrassil being a giant tree...I dont think so....so to me it looked more like he erupted in nothrend.

It makes perfect sense (much better than OP's). Now why can't everybody see this, so we won't have billions of people making threads about his flightpath?

He was actually flying in one place the whole time and they just fast forwarded the day so the world kept turning and it looked like he kept moving.
