It's my understanding that they'll be able to get the previous tier once a new tier of content is released.

Yay! I'll either A) Be one tier behind you or B) Get maybe 2 pieces when you are getting your heroic level 4pc, and this will make you quit. I'm glad my welfare gear makes you quit...wish a lot more would follow suit.
I once had a character named "Clamslam" but Blizzard deemed it inappropriate.Retired from WoW: February 19, 2011. It was fun Blizz.

"Noobs" won't get getting the most recent gear unless the earn it. But they will have access to the last tier gear, via Justice/Valor/Whatever points.
That will have to suffice as the middle ground. I think it will work.

I get their point of view though, why work for something when you could just wait a get it a bit later. I think this system losing a bit of that achievement you get, even if you were the only one playing. sigh..... like others have said you wont be missed. if casuals want to get gear the SAME gear you can get then by all means they have every right to it as you just cuz you have more time "COUGH" to get it doesnt mean the people that have other shit to do with their lives cant have the same opportunities as you so yes you can quit the rest of us will somehow survive with out you
