What happened to the normal Flight Form?

Hello,

After a 6-months break from WoW I started again to play a bit, choosing to continue a 55 Druid i had previously leveled. Now i reached lvl 60 yesterday, the level you can learn to fly. But somehow I can't learn my 150% speed flight form at a Trainer. I asked some fellows ingame and they told me I need to buy the skill first before the form appears at the trainer, but somehow i can't believe this, coz first I had a Druid some time ago and I'm 100% sure you got your 225 Skill for free when purchasing the form. Sure I had the 6-months break, but checked wowhead and I found no post where they would confirm the stuff my server fellows said. And secondly I can see the Epic flight form at the trainer ready for purchase, I just don't meet the level requirement and it says I need Artisan flight skill or whatever it is called, so it doesn't seem probable to me that even if I see the epic flight form for purchase I have to buy the 225 Skill first to see the normal form appear.

So my simple question would be is this a bug? Or do i have to do something special (quest or whatever) to let the form appear? Or is it really true you have to buy the SKill first to let the form appear?

i am afraid i got a level 80 druid so i am unable to give you a 100% correct answer

but all monuts not scale whit how fast you can go (an in what riding skills you got). so if you the skill to fly at 150% you should also be able to get flight form.

the questline for Swift flgiht form is removed i.

You have to go to flight trainer first. Druid trainer doesn't teach you your flying lesson. It's the same with Pallys and Warlocks.

Just got me wondering, does that mean Swift Flight Form is more or less useless now? (you need 280% training to learn it and when you get the training the non-epic flight form should scale to 280% right?)

Also now with the scaling mounts thing and being able to use non-epic mounts at epic speeds, if you've got Swift Flight Form can you still use the old one? not a big deal I guess just curious.

You can't use he old one, but i realy wish you could. I'd so much more want to fly 280% on a bird, than 280% on something that looks more like a brown bag of shit with wings.--

well like i said it used to be different, pallys and wls never had free flight skill, jsut epic ground skill. but ty for the info, seems like i need to spend the gold then :>

its instant cast, u can herb without dismounting, if u missklick while flying u can pop back into flightform and avoid dying.. its unique no other class has this "mount" so unless u have some really awesome LK heroic mount, alar bird, mirmirons head or similar.. this is the most special u'll ever get :P

and im going 310% in my flightform so that works too yes :P

and to the OP yes it was free, but thats a long time ago.. i got mine in Outland times 150% free.. but back then it was a lot of gold to save, today 600g is pocket change

the reason i added that to my post was more for the oposite. is normal flight form still ingame ? as blizzard could just make it only swift fight from that scales..

Pallies wasnt free btw, if you did the quest at 60 for fast riding, you'd know....

well yeah and druids flight form cost 8 gold so it's not free too.... don't be petty :P it was by far cheaper (in lvl 60s numbers) then the mount of other classes

yeah, Level 60 mounts (incl training) were around 800-1000g while warlock/pally got there mount+training for just over 600g I think (it's been a while but I've done both, even though when I did the pally one 'Summon Charger' was a trainable skill - I wanted the feat of strength and as said it was still a little cheaper)

i was a NE hunter back then i competely refused to pay the price fo epic mount. everyone had it but i didnt lol i went on on my normal 60% one
