    10% str

Just starting a thread to see how you all feel about the 5% str nerf to unholy. I personally think it is unessesary. but thats just me.

What they should be doing is figuring out how to devalue haste and promote mastery, because even with a static 15% strength buff haste was still close to overtaking it in value. And the worthlessness of mastery is completely laughable.

I think you cannot judge the nerf unless you are 85 and in the beta. Its not 80 balancing remember, and that 5% with roughly 10K AP at 85 is a nice chunk. It must add more AP than they would like.

Right now strength is massively better than any other stat, but if blizzard want us going for mastery they're going to have to buff the damage increase to at least two and a half times what it currently is, or we just aren't ever going to want it. At least not for single target encounters.

I think 5% nerf at 80..85 is not somthing really needed. its not like unholy dk's are any where near op. but with out break allowing us to put up both diseases with out using crap spells will make up for it perhaps with the amount of extra damage we put out. whats u guys think?

I do kinda understand the point of view, however, like Jokerjesus stated b4, this changes are to balance lvl 85, not lvl 80.

Consider the following though, there isn't any news about new runeforge enchants, so that tells me that we will be using Fallen Crusader still.....so, consider an Unholy DK, the HUGE amount of STR stat on the items, + Unholy Might + Fallen Crusader proc......seems like lots of STR to me =P, we'll see though, it's 2 soon to judge.

Personally, I saw this coming, +15% strength with an additional +5% strength for wearing all plate was kinda OP.

I think that was quite a serious hit for unholy, which will need a Mastery buff (which atm is quite underpowered)
    Stop reading my sig, bro!

It's not like Death Knights were far and ahead of anyone else. This only makes Mastery even worse, since the diseases only scale off Strength and Crit.

Unholy Mastery is op in AoE and horrible in Single-Target. I think they just want it to balance out this way until they get around to it. Think 4.1. Yes, 4.1.

Since Bibi missed it: Dark Simulacrum is no longer restricted to single-target spells.

This. With Rune of Fallen Crusader and Plate specialisation you'd basically get a 35% Str buff. Massive scaling issues incoming?
I'd rather they adjust now then hit with the nerfbat later. Though what were they smoking to give such a Str buff in the first place?

Have you looked at a weight table lately? Haste is barely behind strength right now.

if they want us to use mastery they really need to re work it. i understand all things considered we may have to much str BUT we are not op. if anything we are decently balanced. but i will agree to everyone who reads this and thinks there is room for improvment, because there is.

I think mastery should be reworked to include ghoul damage and/or shadow damage.

I did some napkin math on this, and this change puts haste's weight above strength at both 80 and 85.

To be honest, Unholy Mastery is so sub-par that this doesn't do anything but make haste look more important.

My wife is in the hospital. I'll post my napkin a little bit later.
