    Algalon in 4.0

Just wondering if there people that have done this fight yet since 4.0 came out.

Was looking at his HP pool and its only 1 mill more then OS and was wondering if you could zerg this fight as well if you had high enough dps to get him down befor the black hole.

Looking for some feedback on this or any helpful hints on how this fight can be done easily.

What your group look like? 245 251 264 277 gear? if your all in 264/277 you should get one big bang before 30%

The fight is pretty easy when you over-gear it, since you can focus on the mechanics.

The big bang will still kill most classes, and theres always a chance you screw up the black holes a little and get "ascend to the heavens"

The hard part right now is the fact that the floor is currently bugged, and is unbelievably, blindingly bright. Good luck seeing meteor crashes.

What Hersheys said^, Makes it so you cant see shit , stars, Constellations and even cosmic smash's. Apparently the pathing on stars is changed as well though that can still be worked with, And he hits 15-20% harder due to using Cata Calculations for his hits. Apparently blizzard doesnt plan to fix any of it.

Yea, the major issue on that fight atm is the ground brightness, need someone calling the cosmic smashes all the time, they are difficult to spot. Plus, you can hardly see algalon himself, he is pretty much invisible if your camera is looking down.
The big bangs dont hit half as hard as they used to, a single tank can eat all of them if they have 2 minute cooldowns, stay out, pop a cooldown, get down to half health, if that, get healed back up before algalon starts hitting you again.
You still need 2 tanks, switch at 3-4 stacks.
And he hits fairly hard, about 10k-20k a swing, nothing difficult to heal though, he just hits fast.

Make sure to call big bangs and cosmic smash and you wont have any deaths, his health drops fast.

This. I went back and killed him for alt Starcallers in 4.0, and it's kinda awful. We just had everyone move, for the most part, every time Meteor Crash happened. But yeah... You should only get 1-2 Big Bangs, and two tank switches (less than 12 Phase Punches).

erm... maybe it's just me, or bear's Savage Defense is going nomnom @ the bigbang.
I could slack outside with just barkskin up & shield from priest (and SD charge) and my health bar didn't budge.

We went in there last night just for fun, tried for He Feeds On Your Tears. Was rather annoying when nearly invisible cosmic smashes killed 4-5 people throughout the fight.

Still easy, tank damage went up a bit though.

Yes, the platform is bugged, just one of the many things that Blizzard apparently doesnt give a damn about to fix. Pretty sad if you ask me
