    Elemental Invasion?

    Seems like stuff have started rolling, logged into an alt that was sat in Tarren Mill, and lo and behold! An elemental rift was spawned there spewing out Gusting Elementals.

    Saw some surging elementals in zangarmarsh, zabra'jin to be exact. Also with a similar portal.

    just ran into one in Silverpine while doing Loremaster, left behind a "mysterious device" when I killed the elementals, but can't do anything with it

    the rifts, kill the elementals and the rifts die, one elemental death is 1 less hp for the rifts

    what happens is it dies then you get a quest from the mysterious device remains

    They are in Stormwind just checked doing the quest as we speak.

    there's cultist quests starting in SW and Org, I'm thinking perhaps we have to finish those chains before picking up quests from the mysterious device. I'll test it if/when I find another invasion

    my brother couldn't pick up the q before he had done the q's in orgrimmar
    and i couldn't after i've done them

    ah-ha! apparently you can only pick up the quest if you close a rift in a zone of your own level. so for high levels it's Borean Tundra, Storm Peaks, Zul'drak and Dragonblight
