I'm quite sure about that yeah. Abyssal Maw will be 4.2 alongside Firelands. That's just how the cookie crumbles.

I think this has already been discussed, however I'll explain what I know on the situation. It was supposed to come out in one of the first content patches 4.1/2 however in late speculation there is some word that is may not be coming out at all. Keep your eyes on MMO Champion as soon as anyone knows anything I'm sure it will be posted.

it is strange that its asked about all the times on the wow forums and not once has any blue said anything about it. my guess is maybe they dont even know when/if its coming. there could be some real chaos going on behind the scenes at blizz because of how awful this expansion has been so far.

Isnt Neptulon "evil" anyway? He only allied with us to fuck over the naga and old gods.
But then if the old gods have turned on him, I guess he would have no reason to wish us ham. Even if he wasnt in danger. Interesting thought.

My guess is that Abyssal Maw will be shoved back to 4.3 with a possible second 5-man so it's not the only heroic for that tier. If ZA and ZG drop iLvL 353 loot and the T11 raids drop 359-372, and we know Firelands will drop 378-391, then it's possible Abyssal Maw will be to Firelands like ZA and ZG are to the T11 raids. So Abyssal Maw will likely drop iLvL 372 loot and be released in 4.3 to help people catch up on gear. So my guess is if 4.2 hits in May or June, we'll see Abyssal Maw sometime around September.

This sounds like reasonable speculation. I wouldn't be surprised if this is how it shakes out. I'm not as interested in when it's coming but rather if it is gonna be at least partly underwater. I can't wait to tank an instance with the 'sea-legs' buff.

It's not like Abyssal Maw is the only possible dungeon left. With the patched-in dungeons in Wrath, they created a dungeon out of nothing (Trial of the Champion) and pulled three dungeons out of one raid area (The Frozen Halls). They could easily add a Firelands-based dungeon (or a few) and new dungeons based on whatever raids get added after Firelands, or even create entirely new zones a la Quel'Danas with new dungeons in them.
