I think part of it is because of how many chapters an episode covers. The last season was 25 episodes, but covered 150+ manga chapters. Originally Posted by Blitzo

Speaking of HxH 127 and the issue of manga spoilers, when I watched 127 this morning I went straight to the manga and finished from where the tv show is currently up to until the latest chapter. Ready to go for when Togashi comes back in June or whatever!

I'm glad I was reminded of Mardock Scramble - watched the first movie long ago, before any more were out, and never picked it back up.
Second one has flying sharks. Flying mecha sharks. Forget how great the trilogy is in general, flying mecha sharks alone are enough.
