I'm mixed on DB/DBZ dubs, since you mean FUNimation's. FUNimation ruined too much, imo. Though it's kinda nostalgia for me when it comes to them too lol

The bold seems to be quite common for those brought up with FUNimation's dub, tbh. Personally, I prefer her over Schemmel. He's just not how Goku should be.

Agree with Bebop and TTGL though. Personally a fan of the Anti-Spiral's dub voice.

I grew up with the dub, so to me, Schemmel is Goku. It's just kinda weird hearing the Japanese VA (though I do think she's good, I just don't like her as Goku).

Same here. I acted in high school, primarily as villains - Anti-Spiral's voice was an influence for one of my roles.

Yeah, I get that. It's just what you're used to basically. Being from the UK, I grew up mostly with the Ocean dub so that tends to feel "right" to me. Even though I know that overall, it just isn't very good (same for FUNi's original dub). It still sounds "right" when I hear it xD The Japanese is the language I've heard it in most now though so I'm used to that too. I've seen DBZ in far too many dubs now though. Gets confusing lol

A good influence I think. Some of the voices in that dub can be hit and miss but I loved Anti-Spiral's. It felt powerful.

I should watch TTGL again... Yes, Caine, after NGNL! God, leave me alone! :P

Yaaaassss. That's exactly how it is.

I really liked most of the voices in it, especially the AS and Lordgenome (his VA also did the English Rider and does a few for LoL as well - "DEMACIA!"). A lot of them influenced me for acting; I generally played villains.
