Anyone in here played Fantasy Life?
Thing is, I gre up on nintendo. Gameboy, NES, SNES, had them all.
Yet some day, Playstation overtook them and accelerated even further, leaving them in the dust. I wasn't a nintendo fan anymore.
And then Fatal Frame 4 was released on the wii (and wii exclusive) instead of Playstation/Xbox like before. Didn't even localize it for us western barbarians.
For me, that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Durarara - Watched the latest episode with a friend, so no arm-long post this time. I am absolutely in love with how great the storytelling is with Durarara. I've always loved how it was done, but the past two episodes have been absolutely stellar. The back and forth, the slight 4th wall breaking, and the telling the story backwards makes everything so much more interesting, and you understand past scenes, even episodes past, with a whole new layer once a new scene is shown that came just before or after it or had some implications with the other scene or storyline going on. Another thing I love that they're still doing so well is showing an entire cast of characters, all living their lives, and how they interact with each other and many of the characters don't even realize how important other characters are that they know, and it's really just the viewer and 1-2 characters that really know what's going on. Brilliant.
How they ended this episode had me on the edge of my seat, that's a fucking brilliant cliffhanger because you both know what happens next (the money gets stolen and put in the briefcase) yet at the same time don't know (how it got there, what happened, etc). Celty's also being as adorable as ever.
The two yuri sisters entering the school is the absolute greatest thing, and I love how they interact with the rest of the class. I'm also greatly enjoying the new guy that's part of the Dollars and helped them out. The scene where both the sisters kiss him had me laughing my ass off. I'm hoping he and the two girls become major and essential characters in the story.
The two nerds are as great as ever. I also have a slight twinge of jealousy too, their lifestyle just seems so fun and interesting and they're such lovable characters personality wise. How they know everything in the city, help out with keeping the city right with their group of friends, and at the same time know everything in the otaku world, along with being so back and forth and hyper about absolutely everything makes them two of my top characters.
The first season of DRRR is already one of my top favorites of all time, but with how season two is going I may end up placing DRRR in my number one position, even above Code Geass.

Graffiti - Also ended up watching this one with a friend. I'm in love with this show. It's so heartwarming and nice to watch. The characters are adorable and the artwork is great. All this does is make me want to visit Japan more and more though.
I am really liking the Music for Rolling girls. All of the songs for Rolling Girls are covers of songs by The Blue Hearts. Hoping for a new insert every episode.
