Indeed it was. I only hope (it's only a faint hope though) that vol 2 and 3 of the source material will be animated as well because I was told what happens in them.

I'd say the entertainment level/atmosphere/direction/etc was fairly consistent from beginning to end. If the first episode didn't personally click for you it probably won't later on unless it's a case where you just need more exposure time.

Wait, is HxH finished airing now? Or is there just a break between season

Finished airing, it's within 9 chapters of the source material, and Togashi hasn't written a chapter in like 3 months.

    Fist Of The North Star

Ruroni Kenshin - Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal
    Spirited Away
    Steamboy
    Summer Wars
Sword Of The Stranger (The best not-Ruroni Kenshin Ruroni Kenshin movie.)
    Tekkonkinkreet
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
The Place Promised in Our Early Days
    The Wings of Honneamise
    Tokyo Godfathers
    Voices Of A Distant Star

Everything else by Ghibli (almost everything anyway), possibly the Lupin The Third movies. Everything depends on taste, but this is a pretty solid list. I've probably missed a bunch of things and I've not bothered to include any follow-ups or sequels. Also, some are labelled as 'movies', but are basically 30-50 minute long OVA's.

Also anime calendars for the month are starting to show up in full. Just be aware that women's volleyball may wreak havoc with schedules, due to yells of potemkin and gal undo too close to recording studios.

    http://haruhichan.com/page/calendar/anime.html

Note on the calendar: The Fate/Stay 10/11/14 date appears to be for the 2nd episode, though it's listed as the first. The official website is still stating '2 days until the first episode'.

Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken AOTS right here this is how you start a season off right!
Sucks that it's a 3min short. Also what I love is you have to be this Japanese to get 100% of the references!
"Hataraitara make" is a meme in Japan.
It means You work, you lose.

I liked the LN a lot, but couldn't get myself to enjoy the adaptation. Too much focus on the fanservice and really, really terrible animation. :/

The animations and artwork is pretty poor in places, won't argue there.

I think it is mostly because I tend to be a story guy so I want to see how it all turns out.

A anime based on world history nice.

I think Chelly might like that the fact there is another anime airing this season based on a Swedish child fantasy book.

The power of the Vanadis invokes dread and fear from their enemies. An earl in the service of the country of Brune, a young archer by the name of Tigre, experienced the Vandis's power firsthand after being defeated on the battlefield by Ellen. However, Ellen chose to spare his life after witnessing his skills, but in exchange, he is asked to serve her.

Fixed, also Metropolis is well worth watching for the film's climax alone. It's one of the most glorious uses of sound and animation around. I also love how Madhouse recaptured Tezuka's vintage art style and gave it modern animation.
