Kekkai Sensen - I really can't get enough of this. It's put together so damn well, and it's probably one of the few shows this season that can put a smile on my face every single episode. The date at the end was 10/10.

And on Seraph, yeah, Shinoa is too damn good. If it wasn't for Kumiko she'd be girl of the season.

I was bored so I checked my "compatability" with some people and I have a 60%+ compatability rate with pretty much everyone in here, yet we call shit taste on each other constantly, lol.

That compatibility stat doesn't really mean a whole lot. It apparently places a lot more emphasis on the number of anime both people have seen, rather than the actual scores each person had for those shared anime. Should be the other way around in my opinion.

Just finished Kore wa Zombie Desu ka and I'm sad it's over. It was really funny, especially the dancing episode. Some parts were kind of awkward to watch but I still really enjoyed it. Saras best girl. 8/10

Somewhat related - Anybody have experience using GifCam? I'm making some gifs for another anime suggestion list. First round came out great, but this time around everything is coming out grainy as fuck. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up.

Another new Servant. This one is definitely Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde since he already appears in the prequel of Fate/Prototype as a Berserker, though this time he is an Assassin. Miyano voicing a Servant is pretty awesome though, he seems like a perfect fit.

UBW - The Kuzuki flashback at the beginning was nice, but it honestly felt a bit half-assed. I actually started to like him a bit after reading his backstory in HA, but here they just quickly shoved parts of it before he died so he wouldn't be so dull. I guess it's better than nothing, but it was still sloppy.

The stupid seizure prevention effect where they lower the brightness of scenes really ruined a lot of the fights, imo, especially Gae Bolg vs Rho Aias. Caster vs Rin/Kuzuki vs Shirou also felt underwhelming in general (and had some very obvious reused frames).

I don't know maybe I'm just not in the right mood, but I didn't like the episode very much. Maybe I'll like it better when I watch the BDs, as it won't have that completely dumb seizure prevention effect.

I've got to agree tbh. It just felt... light-weight? Like everything happened very quickly, then was just kind of, over. I'm finding it hard to put my finger on exactly, but the direction just feels slightly off, since the Einzbern castle battle onwards. Like, I don't know, maybe the team's just tired, or the director's cuts aren't quite snappy/involving enough? It's hard to put into words, but compared to say Saber vs Berserker in season one, the impact of that kind of battle just feels as though it's missing now. It's still good, but... something's not quite right.

The seizure desaturation is annoying as shit too. Having the BD versions of the first season is a world of difference quality-wise on any scene where there're special attacks going off or magic being used. It's so vivid it's unreal when not toned down.

I feel it as well. I was so hyped for the Lancer vs Archer battle, but like you said, I felt underwhelmed. Same with Rin vs Caster (though Rin going full-blown martial arts was pretty cool). Can't wait until the BDs, because it didn't look as pretty as it should've.

Yeah I think it has a lot to do with build-up to these intense fights and then they just end up being a little short and underwhelming. As much as I like Gilgamesh, I was really hoping to see Berserker work him a little bit. That really pissed me off, mainly because it's like Ilya died without any fight whatsoever, which was sad.

That too. Both Gil and Berserker are two of my favorites, and I wished the fight had been better done - though, seeing GIl's face of, 'WTFHEBROKEMAHCHAINS!" was pretty awesome.

I dunno, I just feel like it's been rushed. I will say, though - whatever we get, it is still lightyears better than what we got almost a decade ago.

yeah gifcam is just a simple program, had the same issue with it making grainy gifs for some things.
might try messing with various settings, making the gif resolution smaller, stuff like that.

They limit to 15 seconds, which I guess isn't that big of a deal, but I like using longer gifvs since it's a "check this out you might want to watch it" sort of thing.
