INTRODUCTION TO THE GUILD
Last Hope is quite an old guild, we have been around since 2006. The guild was created with the goal of becoming a TOP PvE guild on Darksorrow, with a focus on stability. The leadership has remained the same since the creation of the guild and the vast experience gathered during all this time has made us evolve into the solid state in which Last Hope is today.
During our history, we have collected many PvE server firsts, most of Horde side firsts, some TOP75 world kills and several EU TOP50 kills.
While we strive to get kills as fast as possible, we do it at our own pace. Progress is important to us, but we will not let it come at the cost of guild drama. We are calm, persistent and yet successful. You won't see us fighting on the forums or trade channel, nor even whispers about minor things such as who has the biggest e-peen. We simply enjoy playing this game and we like to be on top of our game. Enjoying and beating the most challenging PvE content out there is our goal.
We strive to have a core of strong players, as well as strong leadership. We want our members to believe in our goals and the means with which we want to achieve them. We are a group of grown up people that simply enjoy this game and like to play together. There is no room for emo kids in LH.
GUILD IDEALS
- Last Hope is above all a PvE guild, which means killing bosses. We raid 5 days a week (sunday - thursday), from 19:30 untill 23:30 CET. While some of us enjoy PvP and achievement farming, our main objective is to progress through the most challenging PvE content.
- We intend to be a mature guild, in and outside of raids. We treat our fellow members with respect, and there is no room for bitching and crying in our guild. You won’t see us spamming general chat while raiding, or acting like pricks on the realm forums.
- Our members should constantly be striving to improve their play. We want our players to be aware of the theorycrafting behind their class and know how to maximize their characters. When players screw up during raids, we expect them to learn from their mistake and not to make the same mistake again. You will not be abused in our guild for making a mistake, but we have low tolerance for repeated failures.
-We reward good play and attendance, and this is reflected in our guild ranks and DKP system. The way you perform in raids will be reflected in your guild rank in Last Hope, and we have extra rewards for our players with higher ranks. Our DKP system rewards attendance, which insures our most active players have a slight benefit, but it does so in such a way that our new members will also still get loot.
CATACLYSM RECRUITMENT
We are currently looking to add to our raid roster for Cataclysm. Our experience through WotLK as well as the Cataclysm beta has given us the necessary insight to adapt and prepare the guild for the new age of Cataclysm. To promote fairness, all our member ranks will be reset in Cataclysm so everyone has a fair chance to prove themselves worthy of their raidspot.
We want our applicants to be:
Mature - Applicants must be over 18 years of age, and have a mature mindset Reliable – You need to be able to attend over 80% of our raids, and you need to come prepared to these raids Skilled – We want people that can play their class to the maximum and can avoid the fire Experienced - Having past raiding experience is a must, the more the better. Social - We prefer people that talk on vent and socialize with the rest of the guild (preferably no raid-loggers) Min-maxing – Make sure your gear is properly enchanted and gemmed, and that you have two crafting professions for the bonuses.
Please do not apply if:
-You disconnect or if your computer crashes often
-You are, or think you are one of the following: Emo, dramaqueen, lootwhore, attentionwhore, god’s gift to raiding
-You come unprepared for raids (which means no flasks, consumables, or totally unaware of how fights that have been out there for a while work.)
Our Cataclysm special recruitment offer is now open for:
-1-2 Warlocks
-1 hunter
-Possibly a rogue or elemental shaman
Ofcourse if your class is not listed and you are a very special flower we will allways consider your application
