Do achievements and mounts make you stay with a character?

I don't even have many on my main, around 6k, but i have a pretty rusted drake and alot of time farming some rep factions and it makes it hard to just go to a different toon with no mounts and no rep. Sad story huh.

Yup i have 2 main one horde one ally and they play them all the time. Bith got 100+ mounts. i have put so much work into the 2 that they will always be my mains.

Personally, achievements and mounts are what have me coming back to wow continuously. You can always improve in some way or gain something. You can never truly beat wow and I think that is why it has had the longevity that it has had. I do have an alt that I leveled to 80 but I wish I would have used that time to get achievements/rep on my main. Achievements in any type of game from angry birds to wow make the game much more enjoyable. You work towards something.

archievements dont matter, neiher does rep, ~15k gold for a new chars mount +maxed flying skills will hurt for the majority.

not really, it seems i switch mains every expansion... i have old pvp titles on some, old raiding titels on others, i dont think i have a rare mount on any of them.
    It's just a game.

Getting attached to virtual points and in essence a account you are RENTING from Blizzard i myself find that pretty stupid.

No it won't make me stay put on one character im re-rolling come cataclysm.
    Oh hi

I have the same problem, my main through WotLK is a mage, with many mounts and around 8k achievement points.

But for Cata i want to play a new class, being my paladin. I was thinking of still playing my mage because of the titles and what not, but then i thought. Im not playing this class because its a fun class, but because it has achievements.

So you need to see it like this; do you want to play the class or do you want the achievements. Don't know how clear that was hope you get what i mean.

I think the achievements are fun to do but if i really wanted to switch mains i would because its only a game and you do those things for yourself not for anyone else or to show off.

I did see a guy on a Russian realm had all the achievements in game and 78 feats of strength, now that is dedication to one character!

Yep, and it's kind of annoying. Sometimes I want to play ANYTHING else other than my Paladin, because quite frankly, not being able to do good damage at range is something I hate. It just feels like I'm restricted. That's mostly in PvP though. I'm really not a fan of either Retribution nor PvP.

Anyway, if I wasn't restricted to my Paladin, I'd really love to play Rogue or Mage some more, I love those classes. But I just feel like I'm missing something when I play them... And I'm not really interested in getting all those achievements on yet another character.

Nope. I play what is fun to me over anything else. I'll be dropping the Hunter has my main and going to back to the Warrior come cata, Though my Warrior was my main for a while, I had to switch to Hunter to get in a better guild, now that it's time to pick, I'll be goin back to the warrior. If I found playing Moonkin more fun, I wouldn't have any problems dropping my warrior and going druid.

On that lines, I mostly raid on alliance, if I had a chance to get in an even better Horde guild, I wouldn't have any problems making my Horde warrior my main.

Actually they do. I also don't have much achievement points - around 4700. Tried to change main a few time ago. Didn't happen.

As a vanilla player it does keep me from changing mains. I have reputations, achievements, and titles that you can no longer obtain. I may race change to a worgen but the character is going to stay my main.

I've having a hard time to go over to my mage as I have ravenlord, zulian tiger and the HH mount on my main, feels so lame when they suddenly are gone :S

Because of mounts yes. I think achievements are worthless, they are nice to get but once you get em, meh...

My mounts and achievements keeps me on my Mage, and that's what I want. Doubt I'll ever change because of what I've gained on it.

If I wanted to change my main for some reason, there's no amount of mounts, titles, achievements and rep that could stop me from doing that.

Nah, going from my Warlock to Druid.
Warlock has more achievement points and more mounts, Druid is more fun to play in Casterclysm tho and it's the only thing that matters to me.
