    [A]<Macabre> US-Mannoroth Open Cata Recruitment

    Raid Schedule

We are planning to raid four nights per week, Sunday through Thursday, with either Sunday or Monday reserved for optional content. Raids start promptly at 8:00 P.M. E.S.T.; you’re expected to be prepared to raid when invites are sent out at 7:45 P.M. E.S.T. This means that you should stop video conferencing with your psychotic girlfriend on Skype, cease communication with that fat e-girl from Vancouver and be ready to slay. We want to raid with exceptional players that are capable of utilizing our limited raid times to remarkable ends. If you have obligations that routinely conflict with the aforementioned raid times – don’t bother reading any further.

    Who are we?

In the interest of brevity, I’m going to be blunt. We were an extremely good guild in vanilla; our Kel’thuzad kill was world 12th. We had impressively ranked kills throughout Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King as well, but I want to talk about who we are at present. The core of the guild is built on the principle of being held accountable for your actions. To elaborate, we are a very tight-knit group of individuals that have been raiding together for the entirety of this past expansion. We all have strengths and weaknesses and we build our raid model around showcasing the strengths of our best players while mitigating the impact their weaknesses have on our progress. That being said, if you have no situational awareness, you won’t last long. We are highly critical of both your ability to do damage/absorb damage/heal damage as well as how effortlessly you can avoid mechanics that are designed to kill lesser players. We’re crude, motivated, blunt to the point of being offensive and we’re not afraid to constructively assist you in improving your play-style. We are not going to sit idly by while lesser guilds are able to clear content because they have a consistent raid that logs in regularly. We will have better, more motivated players focused on clearing content and most importantly having fun.

    Who are you?

Ideally you’ve been playing this game since it was released. You experienced the grind of vanilla raiding and are looking forward to having to work for your gear again. You are self-motivated, logical, have a Y-chromosome, focused, and are willing and able to devote yourself to progression. In addition, you’re an amiable person – you don’t talk too much, you don’t have a grating personality and you mesh well with the unique atmosphere our guild presents. Since gear is going to be reset with the release of Cataclysm, we’re not terribly concerned with your gear now, however, you should be properly talented, glyphed, gemmed and enchanted and you should be able to support your choices with solid math. You’re going to hit 85 within three days. You’re going to grind normal dungeons in order to grind heroic dungeons in order to raid while gaining reputation with the proper factions in order to supplement your dungeon gear. Ideally, you have a beta account and you have experienced this content firsthand. You’re good at pressing buttons. You take pride in your character. I won’t lie, we are going to rip apart your UI; if you have 1,2,3,…= bound: don’t apply. If you click abilities: don’t apply and finally, if you have important information in the nether reaches of your UI: don’t apply. All of the information you need to do your job should be within a few hundred pixels of your character model. Please note that our recruitment is going to be extremely limited and if you don’t take the time to properly fill out the application, we’re going to laugh at you.

    How to apply!

For now, until http://www.macabreguild.com is fully operational, please go to http://www.guild-illuminati.com, click Apply and follow the directions.

If you have any questions, don’t bother us in-game, because everything is self-explanatory. If we have to hold your hand through the application process, it doesn’t bode well for your trial. Thank you.
