justice point limit and upcoming cata

i try to found answer to my question, no luck yet. so here i am asking you guys.
right now the limit for justice points is 4k, does it stay the same when cata hit or blizz gonna remove the cap on it ?
i want to know so i will spent my jps right away at release if they not gonna remove the cap

I hope so because i think you can only spend it on 85 gear and you need to be 85 to buy it...

Chances are it will be removed considering that the 85 heroic lvl blues that you use JP to buy are like 1.5k+ per item..so ya

In wrath you can go over 4000 if you had enough frost/triumph to do so.
In wrath you cannot collect more than 4000 points (unless it is through the method above, otherwise you cant do so)
In cata you cannot ever go above 4000.

If you have over 4000 now, when cata hits, any points over 4000 will be converted into gold.

You cannot gain any JP until you go under 4000.

Same is true of Honor points.

The most expensive items are 2200 JP, I believe, so the 4000 point cap is perfectly reasonable.

I think, and I may be wrong here these just be my opinion/theory, is that they put the cap in to stop people hoarding the lower tier badges and then just straight out buying the tier thats bought with Valor/Conquest points when they drop things down to JP/Honor. The reason there wasn't a cap before was when the next tier came out you still had to farm the lower level if ya wanted say Tier 9 to gear up for raiding to get Frosties easier.

Yeah, Valor Points are awarded in raids (and the daily heroic), Justice Points in heroics (and the daily normal).

if they just allow lvl 85 to have an accesses to buy blue heroic gear, then all the point we achieve in the way from 80 to 85 gonna go to waste.

You cannot. You have to be 85 to buy 85 gear.

The 4k cap will stay. The do not want you to store large amounts of it in order to purchase the new tier as soon as it drops to JP level gear. When you get to 85, you'll be able to buy 1 or 2 pieces with your 4k that you saved. When tier X converts from valor points to justice points in the future, you'll still only be able to buy 2 pieces of the new gear when it is available for JP. You will never be able to store enough JP to buy a whole tier of gear as soon as it becomes available for purchase using JP.

This is exactly why it isn't a great idea to save 4000 JP right now. Basically it means you will not be able to gain any JP while leveling and doing random dungeons. Justice points will ALWAYS work this way, if you have an upgrade NOW that you can buy with JP, you are better off just doing it NOW.

They worked for those points.

That's not to say people should be able to save up points and buy a new tier of gear right away. They have to enforce the cap as far as I'm concerned. I'm just also concerned that you seem to think points just magically appear out of nowhere without effort.

Personally I'd prefer a new point system for 85 separate from JP in order to get new tier items, that way we all start from zero.

It's pretty simple.

Cap of 4000 is in atm so people don't horde 10000+ for cata and get a full set of heroic gear without doing anything.

Whether it'll stay at 4k at 85 we'll have to wait and see.

Upgrading now and blowing all your JP you have now would be pretty retarded given that the ilvl on green quest item rewards is 272 (LK ilvl) when you start questing in the new zones at lvl 80. Why use your 1110 JP now for that piece of tier gear for 3 more weeks when you are going to replace it so soon? Wouldn't you rather have it ready when you hit 85?

Because there really isn't any difference in saving up the 4k now until you can buy crap at 85 or just working to get to 4k then. because either way you can't spend them yet until you are 85. so either have none and work your way up to 4k JP before you hit 85 or just have them ready. It is really isn't like you are loosing any because either way you can't do anything with them until 85. Some people might max out their JP before 85 others will not. Just depends on your play style. It willl not take long to get to 85 what so ever. Honestly I will save them up so when I do hit 85 I can buy at least one piece then work to get about 100-200 more for my next piece.

Whether you have the points now, or collect them in cata shouldn't make much difference.
