The New Talent Tree system is from Vanilla WoW beta

Hey what was different from the current tree system, and the Vanilla Beta tree system?

Why did Blizzard originally change it back then?

what made Blizzard return to that old model which they scrapped?

Edit: I am talking about Vanilla WoW Alpha/Beta when Talent Trees locked players into a single tree, like the current system works in CAT.
Why was that system scrapped? And Why is Blizzard bringing it back?

Just about everything? Original talents were completely different from what was released and from what we have now.

the only think that is the same is the 31point system, everything else is totaly different.
example from 1.12 paladin talent tree
    http://www.gamestool.net/tc/wow112/paladint.php

from then each expansion was expanded this tree up to 51point system.
as u can see there is no filler talents, like 5 points just to increase crit etc.
almost each talent directly affects gameplay

Original 31 point system was awful.
They added more tiers in each expansion, wich made them huge.
Then they removed the boring and useless talents, made them baseline or baked them into mastery.
    EDIT:
    Check it out.
    Just... useless, boring talents everywhere.

    Old Talent trees

Take a look at the old trees and you'll see the difference.

The very original system of talents was radically different. Essentially you picked a base class, then a specialized class, then another (Afaik?)

There was no respecing. This was decided to be shit during alpha and replaced with the exact same talent system we have today.
