Flipping the switch is on the 7th. This is actually changing stuff, so it's more implementation than flipping the switch.

The 7th will be seamless as the actual Cata data gets enable with the "flip of the switch". Today is a maintenance.

yes its 2 hours and they claimed that dec 7th is switch flipping day.

considering how much is changing with the patch i'd be surprised and happy if it is playable by 5pm CST.

ive seen tiny patches give us 6 hour delays way back in the day. heck i remember the game being unplayable for 24 full hours once.

The entire world is changing. Literally every single square inch and pixel in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms is getting changed. Combined with Blizzard's past history, no one should be surprised. Maybe I'm just cynical, but I wouldn't trust them to have it out on time even if they didn't have an established track record for delays.
