Tauren Paladin - Pros and Cons - NO LORE...

    NO LORE DISCUSSION!!!

every other discussion on this is either about lore or just a simple question of "What will you decide".

What I want is a Clear Pro Vs. Con of Being a Tauren over a BE.

I'm personally looking at this from a Prot Pally perspective but i'll accept other spec's perspectives too.

    Pros:
Big Ass Cow (alot more "manly" than a BE)
    New Paladin Kodo
5% base HP increase for Prot is good for PVE
aoe Stun affects more people than silence.
    Bigger Weapon/Shield

    Cons:
0.5s cast on Stun compared to instant silence
being Big makes you a bigger target in PVP
aoe Stun affects DR on HoJ.
6% mana return is great for Holy spec.
Giant Taurens don't fit in some doors when on certain mounts.

I will update the first post with what you guys can add that's not just trolling.

Thats alot of achievement points bro.

Horde needed another race for the class for sure and they were the only ones that seems to fit. Yeah but no lore.

But silence only has an effect on casters, while stun has an effect on every single class/spec.

Casters will be your biggest problem on a pally... I'm sticking with my blood elf because of the low profile for pvp healing. For dps you might want the cow for the shit-the-pants factor with wings and all that. Plus cow tanks inspire confidence. True story.

    1. Blood Elves = Laughing stock of the Horde. Tauren = One of the two most badass races in the game (the other being Undead.)
    2. Speaking Taurahe sounds a hell of a lot more badass than speaking Thalassian.
    3. When the shit hits the fan and a cow sprouts wings, it means your argument is invalid.
    4. Paladin shoulders of any tier have always looked better on a Tauren.

    I'll get back to you.

5% base health increase is practically nothing, by the way. It was ~300 extra health at 80.

Arcane Torrent does also return 6% of total mana, on an equal cooldown to Warstomp. I personally like blood elf as the primary horde paladin but I'm sure the idea of tauren paladins will grow on me.

When your a male tauren and in WSG level 10-19 bracket running around in a big group in mid, they see you guys and go right after the big plate wearing tauren not a blood elf half the size lol

If you look at a tank with say 50k hp, 5% equals 2500hp..

300 is abit of, even for a dpser

Edit: Alright, I'm totally of :< missed the "Base" health part.

But at some point it was total health yeah?

So... a free gem. Sounds like good deal to me.

Con, when you a tauren it feels you are running much slower then on a Blood Elf.

Base health is your health with no stamina.

I am quite sure it's calculated with your base health in mind, so it doesn't matter howmuch you have.
It will always grant you the same healthincrease.

Edit, I am much to slow

the silence is much better than warstomp in pvp. the shitty stun also has a DR with your hammer of justice

I would love to go tauren, but Arcane Torrent is just too good. I wish they'd just remove racials. :/
