Whats goin on blizzard leave my druid ALONE!

I log onto the game to find my health down by around 9k or so..thats fine if ya ask me we have to much health. but now i read that all are damage output in bear form is gonna be reduced by 17% man hasn't my bear had enough..

I agree druid tanks have been completely fucked by blizz to the point where we are no longer viable, and if you check leather drops for cata none of the gear is really aimed at bear tanks. I have been bear tanking for 4 years and have decided to retire my bear because of the nerfs, our survivability is pathetic now. As an example today i got jumped by a kitty and hunter and they killed my bear pre 4.0.1 that would have been impossible.
There will be a comment i am sure about playing smarter, but if you have lost most of the tools to do it, thats impossible. A lot of locks are crying about losing 12% of their dmg try losing most of your survivability and most of your stam and our "oh shit" buttons are now a joke.
Seriously the guys who are responsible for this deserve a good ass kicking, thanks for phasing bear tanks out the game.

ya i know..i already have guilds on my server not taking druid tanks atm because of the nerfs therre goin threw atm..they told me they will later on in cata if they become more viable but atm there to risky like wth..i cant guilds turning down druid tanks now it makes me very sad cause my druid is my main

Bear HP was nerfed because it was getting out of control (read: OP) at 85.

Since plate tank gear in Cataclysm has the same stamina as healer/dps gear, there is no more need for the extra HP gained by bear form, other than what other tank classes gain when selecting the tank tree.

Your hp went down a fair margin because it was effectively gimping other tanks at 85. Blizzard had to balance bosses around a bears hp so all the bosses ended up hitting like trucks which was fine for a bear, but would one-two shot any other tank.

Solution: bring the hp more in line.

If you are 80 and lose aggro to a level 69 it's time to respec, and I mean that in the best possible way.

I have no issues at 80 holding aggro against other 80s in 277 gear. Tanking is my offspec to boot.

And if you can't heal a bear druid then you need to re-evaluate how you're healing. Again, in the best possible way.

MAJOR changes have happened to all classes. They will never be the same as they used to be. Everyone needs to sit down and try to figure out what is the best way to handle old situations because everyone is tuned for 5 levels that they don't have.

Bullshit really. Swipe, Roar, Lacerate up on 3 targets then Swipe again. It's no longer the mindless spaming of a Swipe+Maul macro, now it actually takes A LITTLE bit of skill to not lose aggro in a heroic.

Nearly ALL feral-abilitys were buffed in the patch before. Just look at Mangle - 230% -> 360% This is a 56% Buff. Now substract the 17%, and you are left with what? yes. A BUFF. FFS.

But: I understand you're upset about the 10% loss in HP. I can't argue with that. Maybe Blizz wants to encourage something else then stamina-stacking in this expansion.

This is one of the most fail posts I have read on MMO lately. I might have actually thought it was worth my time if maybe the OP would have stated that the reason druids "generally" have more HP then other tanks is because we dont have block.

The guy QQ'ing about seriously getting killed by a kitty druid (uses bleeds your armor does jack for) and a hunter (no idea what his spec is/was) is just insane that he thinks he should auto win the fight.

I cant make an informative comment on the bear dmg reductions as I have not looked at any parses to see if druid tanks out dps'd other tanks or were passing up dps on charts. Like it was said here, Catacylsm is going to be like a club over the head to a lot of people that never had to learn assists and cc's. Once people relearn these things or we out ilvl the instances again things are going to be a little rough.

Or you could grow a brain while growing up. Anyway, tendency certainly is right. Class balance will always shift, sometimes ever so slightly, sometimes more seismic. Live with it.
