Like I completely removed the following cables from the whole equation: eSATA, Firewire, reset sw, hdd led, and power led. It really cleans things up. :P Here's what the back of my case looks like where all the cables are routed:



You can see where I bundled up the reset, hdd, and power led cables because I couldn't actually pull them out, without seriously having to possibly break part of the top front panel just to access where they are plugged in, so I just bunched them up in a nice clean circular form and let the power sw go down to the motherboard.

Oooohhhh, I may do that when I get home, I'll take a picture of my back panel, it is a complete mess back there. Thanks for the idea!

Your setup looks gorgeous. I'm thinking of doing the white braided cables, but idk, I wish I had a computer to get each color and then one to do a mix. lol x_x

Have you actually thought of taking out any excess front panel cables you don't need?

Haha I knew I forgot about a part of that song! Thank Deltrus, I never got to finish the build as I started working again hardcore. But I am starting it up again. I need to get the rest of the wires sleeved to match, the top 2 blue fans that I ordered last night, 3 day shipping for free from Newegg on them, I never got around to putting my H70 in there, as well as upgrading my shitty "I like to run hot at idle" 470 as well as adding in a SSD.

As far as removing the excess cables, I NEVER open my back panel :P So that does not bother me currently.

Here was the finishing look after I swapped out the Red for the Blue.



I only did the Blue to match my keyboard and mouse :P

My Death Adder is blue and my G15 keyboard orange, and from where I sit I see exactly 0 LED lights.... =/

I sit with my PC to my right, so I see everything going on inside. I had the G15, and swapped to a G510 just so I can be able to swap LED colors. My G15 is now used by my girlfriend, which was the primary reason I upgraded.

I figured, after stalking this thread forever, that I would add my build. This computer is my first PC build, and my first PC ever. (Made the switch from Mac's)

CPU: i5 2500k @ 4.6GHz (CPU-Z picture below)
MEM: 8GB DDR-3-1333MHz
CHS: Corsair H80
Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3
HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda [Considering some SSD's in raid0 when the funding is right o.O )
GPU: Two Galaxy 460's in SLI @ 825MHz
PSU: Corsair GS700 (the weakest link, cable mgmt is terrible w/o modular psu)

Because for some reason imgur.com and, in fact, a lot of other sites, for some inexplicable reason won't load their CSS files and various small things, breaking exactly all of them usually. This issue has stayed across all the browsers I've tried, through several reboots and more.

Why'd you go with the 2550K? I've read that they perform the exact same as the 2500K when both are overclocked... But that may be wrong.

It was a free upgrade from 2500k.

Because it's a pre-built system and some of them come with this 2550k chip as a "free upgrade" and no option to pick 2500K. No IGP, not sure that's a big deal to most gamers and I guess it also clocks 100MHz higher but of course that wont change much if you overclock.

This. im just scared the psu isn't big enough. Should of upgraded it for safe messures =(
