I've had an ARC Midi R2 for about a year now.
Easily the best case I have ever used. I love it.
You chose well!
I've been considering one for my Minecraft server, as the HAF X, while more than sufficient enough, is just too damn big and bulky. I could easily hide the server if it was in an Arc.
I've worked with my Fractal Design Define R4 enough times to know how great Fractal cases are to own and work with.
Define R4's build quality is the same.
They don't differ hugely from each other to be honest, which I'm sure you know.
They're both solid cases, made by a solid manufacturer.
If it's for a server.. Why not get the silent optimised case in the Define R4 so it can be hidden away silently?
I have next to no fans going in the thing, and any fans that are going are spinning very slowly, but most are not plugged in, because honestly, JUST Minecraft server running on a Windows 7 system with an i7-920 and (lol an ATi 4850 or 4870) with an Arctic cooler on it? It runs cool and thus quiet.
Ah, alas, the light sound from the furnace/water heater/air conditioner/sump pump which are all about 15 feet away here in the basement, are louder.
I am going to hazard a guess and say :

My current build is about 7 months old. Didnt have a ton to spend, but it is still light years faster than my old setup.
OLD SETUP: Core i7 970
2 GTX 460 768mb cards in SLI
1tb hdd at 7200 rpms
16gb of ddr3 1600 ram
Asus sabertooth x58 mobo
Corsair 750 w psu
I still use that system to Edit and encode HD video for work, as the only real point in having the 6 proc 12 thread setup was to do just that.
My new gaming rig is:
core i5 4670k Ocd to 4ghz
8gb of ddr3 1600 ram
250gb kingston SSD for OS and the main games I play
1tb hdd 7200 rpm WD drive for storage and shit
2 gtx 2gb 760s in sli
Asrock gaming mobo. cant remember model atm.
Corsair tx750 psu (new one with smart fan control)
Runs games great on max settings on my 27 inc LED dual monitor setup
I would never go for hard tubing myself, because while it does look much better, I'd make such a failure out of it.
Looks really nice, as nice as your corner in general.
