Guys, do you remember if there was a Server Restart routine at like 11.45 PM when WotLK went live? I mean, it sounds weird to just go from current to cata if the servers arent rebooting at midnight. Tom Chilton said:

Gotta mean there will be a server restart, right?

If they feel a restart is necessary, there will be one. If they don't, then yes, everything will just become active all of a sudden, just like when holidays start and all the decorations suddenly appear.

No reason to be a jackass. It matters to me, 'cause I have 25 dalies to turn in two seconds after they give XP. Not 2 seconds before. And if I'm Icecrown and the only way to see if cataclysm's been activated is if there is an ! sign on the board on SW, then well yeah, it kinda matter.

Don't think so. Right now it shows 16754 / 1686300 and I doubt it'll change much when cata activates

The EU servers were not restarted prior to the launch of WoTLK.

I cannot speak for the US servers.

Blizz will simply "flick a switch" and as stated above, the new content will be available.
