Glove gives him the grip to power swing Gorehowl, I'm assuming most warriors that use a 2 hander would actually wear at least a glove on the dominant hand, if not both. As for the nails, I heard manicures are all the rage in Orgrimmar...try crushing a fingernail and you'll realize they turn black pretty quickly. He looks pretty badass in that picture. His hands just show he's battle hardened.
