Chaos Orbs

Hello I was wondering if any one knew where Chaos Orbs came from. If they were a BoE/BoP that dropped from mobs, or they are crafted, or they are bought with honor points or JPs.
I am a talior and trying to get all the info b4 next tuesday. If any 1 played the bata or know where I could go to find the info about Chaos Orbs, cool down on embersilk/dreamcloth<if there is one>. That would really help me out thx you very much.

yup, when the beta ended they were bop. They might go the route of primal nether and be bop for a patch or two and then be made boe later on.

I question how the hell you're supposed to get stuff crafted with those, I guess you buy them off the crafter, but what if they run out?

funny thing is that even if you ask a higher lvl eng to do them for you the end gear is also BoP .... so yeah you wont be able to use them until you hit 85 so the lvl req is redundant

hopefully they remove them from being bop, cos otherwise it's gonna make it hard to get hold of them for what you need due to not being able to make teh gear etc. Everyone will be needing them anyways

Simple, the item is 359, that is entry level raiding gear. *If* they become BoE (I assume that will happen) this will be very OP during levelling if you can get the mats for an alt. Otherwise it is perfectly okay if you only get them for raiding only because that is what they are made for.

The WotLK goggles could be used at 72 and could be crafted as long as you could afford the mats and the BoE orb.

And the BC googles could be used at 62. And that is exactly the reason why the cata googles are 81. It's tradition. Also BC googles needed primal nether and someone wrote they were BoP at the start too (see http://www.wowhead.com/item=23572#comments for confirmation). So. There you go. Nothing unusual, "same procedure as every year" (with the exception of wotlk)

To get back to topic (which is infact not about engineering googles)
Chaos Orbs will very likely get tradeable in future.
Around the same time they can be bought with JP, which is currently not possible!

Yeah, they used to do this, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing (Well, it can be for the crafter to gouge folks I suppose, but not too great for the customer).

Hopefully they become BOE or purchasable in the near future.

after a few patches they made primal nether boe. im guessing they want them to be bop at the start so people have to somewhat progress, and so they arent too OP at the start of the expac.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping too. If not, it's not the end of the world, but it does make life a little easier....

bc goggles were level 70 for AGES. primal nethers became boe long before the goggles were tuned to 62.
