Why did Blizzard lock the cataclysm?

When i was looking at the Blizzard forums on the site i noticed that i couldnt reply to threads.... any reason why they would lock a forum like that?

If you mean the Cataclysm beta forums, it's because the beta ended.

went to several different threads and they were all locked. they were the newest threads which were October.

if you're talking about forums from forums.worldofwarcraft.com, they don't use the site anymore.

the current forum is at us.battle.net/wow or en.battle.net/wow
