The movie is very polarizing, you either absolutely love it or you miss the point and hate it, I have seen very few in the middle. (I'm not trying to criticize those who hate it, but all of the people who hate it hate it for the same reason, and by what they're complaining about it makes it obvious that they completely missed what Scorsese was going for when he made the movie.)

Wolf is most likely going to be similar to how Pulp Fiction was and become more of a cult classic than an instant one.

Going to see it on Thursday.

    Frozen 6/10.

I just wanted it to, one time, break from the overly predictable. I called every single major event. Otherwise, it was well written, poked a lot of fun at itself and its music was good. A little poppy for my tastes, but nice songs. The animation was really nice though.

    Analyze That - 6.4

Not as good as the first, but it had its moments.

    Frozen - 8/10
Good, solid movie that didn't follow the standard Disney plot.

After sleeping on it, I'll actually give Frozen an 8. The music grew on me and the characters were very good. I still don't think the movie needed a "villain" per se.

  7. #5607
the worlds end, 8/10 just as funny and entertaining as Pegg/Frost/Wright's previous movies.

Desolation of Smaug, I will give it a 9/10. Though the thing that bugged the shit out of me is how they just seemed to get captured so much...after you get caught 2-3 times you think you will be more careful but no...

    Worth watching, but nothing special.

Prisoners - Also very good. Really brought out a lot of Hugh Jackmans rarely seen raw talent. I have absolutely no problem with slow movies but this one dragged on a little for me and there really wasn't enough character development to justify it. They did a really good job keeping the suspense up for the most part but it died out a little when certain scenes ran on too long. This could have been a 90 minute movie in my opinion. Still quality stuff, though. 7.5/10
Warrior had me in tears, it was so good. Prisoners is also a terrific movie! Loved how darker it became the deeper it went.

    Clearly Tolkien had a prisoner-fetish.

    Blue Jasmine - 8.5/10
Best lead female character and performance I've seen in awhile. I'll be shocked if Cate Blanchett doesn't win the Oscar. Great film, story, and performances all around, but Blanchett is the reason to watch this.

    Skyfall - 9/10

Best of the last 3 movies, even Casino Royale, in my opinion. It might even be my all time favourite Bond movie.

I know a lot of people will hate on the opinion that new movies are better than classics, but Daniel Craig is just an amazing bond character. He even made Quantum of Solace watchable, despite not being a fantastic movie. Skyfall is by far my favorite bond, followed closely by Casino Royale.

    Silver Linings Playbook - 7/10

For a person not interested in the movie at all, it gained my interest early with Bradley Cooper's portrayal of someone with bipolar had both realistic and entertaining values. I eagerly watched the rest of it as soon as Robert Di Nero and Jennifer Lawrence both came on screen with their own but unrecognized disorders as well. I would of given it an 8 if the ending was better.

    Desolation of Smaug - 8/10

As good and in places better than the first Hobbit movie. The only stopping being better all over was the cutting back and forth like a mother-f-er nearing the end of the movie.

    Prisoners - 6/10

Hugh Jackman makes this typical kidnapping movie into something thats gripping. This movie proved to me he is more than just a good actor.
But despite his brilliance and a well written story, the movie stumbles and is slow in areas and suffers from cliches.

    Cloudy and a Chance of Meatballs 2 - 6/10

The good: The evil corporation mirroring something like Google/Apple has its own amusement. The jokes about the living fruit always get a laugh. The original movies magic is faithfully represented.
The bad: Not as good as the first and loses its magic about half way through. The feeling of Jurassic Park/Lost World never leaves when watching it and ends with similar results.

    A Clockwork Orange - 9/10

The only Stanley Kubrick movie I never found time to see and after seeing it, my soul is forever changed.
Like watching Full Metal Jacket, its a movie in multiple parts with each part feeling like a whole new movie.
It is a period piece, but because its British presentation it feels as old as Harry Potter.
The movie is as shocking as it is interesting, because you want to hate the lead character but are still gripped to find out his fate.

    The Ring - 6/10

I went in to this movie with way too high expectations. I like horror/thriller with a good story and this movie does have a good story with a good ending - but since everyone's seen a parody in one way or any other the premise of the video tape isn't shocking/suprising. If it wasn't for the good ending, I wouldn't of given this 5.

Interview with the Vampire - 9/10

I recently re-watched this movie as it was a gift for Christmas.
One of my favorite movies of all time and is a beautifully presented film from start to finish.
In my opinion, this is Brad Pitts greatest work and the only film I truly respect Tom Cruise's performance.
If you loved Frankenstein (1994) and want to see one/if not the best vampire film of all time - then you need to watch this movie.

Desolation of Smaug - 8/10 thoroughly enjoyed it, can't wait for December 2014. Need to see it again in non 3D, if only because the IMAX 3D glasses never seem to fit my nose so they get a bit annoying.

The last movie that I saw was "Skyfall". Mind you, it was roughly around my third time watching it... but I love that movie. I'd rate it about an 8/10.

The last movie that I saw in theatres was "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug". I really enjoyed that movie, and would rate it at about an 8/10, as well.

Watched a bunch of movies on the planes I was on the last couple weeks.

Christmas Vacation - 8/10 Had seen many times before, but still a classic that I feel the need to watch every year.
Young Frankenstein - 9.5/10 Still one of the funniest movies ever.
Elf - 9/10 One of the few great Christmas movies made in the last 15 years.
Shaun of the Dead - 9/10 Seen it plenty, still makes me laugh.
Zombieland - 8/10 Second time I'd seen it, but still pretty good.
The Santa Clause - 7/10 It's an alright flick.
Iron Man 3 - 7/10 Much better than the second, but still not great.
The World's End - 8/10 Good fun from these guys always.
