    My Money Maker Before Cataclysm

I tried Herbing, Mining, Engineering for eternals. None of it seemed worth it. I happened to be doing my cenarion Expedition rep for the title. I had farmed way to many Coilfang armament's from Steam vaults. It was really easy to do as a feral druid. I had very little down time, to almost none. I would saved my greens, BOE blues and my patterns i would get and of course the Coilfang armament's. I sold 120 armament's for about 1500g and been farming since. I would DE the greens and sell the blues. I would not consider a long term thing, but for the next few days if you trying to get a few more Thousand gold for cataclysm, i suggest farming them. You also get about 50 Silver for every mob you kill. The money adds up. I figured id tell you this, because chances are, you are not from my server and you might be able to capitalize from this.

I hope this advice will help. im not here to say my way is better then yours, im saying at this point and time; with my server economics. I get more for my time.

I've been buying Wrath greens off the AH cheap, D/E'ing them, and selling the enchanting mats. Been doing this for about a week now. Already made about 3k pure profit.

Thanks for letting us know. Also everyone believes you.

Not that 400k is impossible or anything.

I have been playing the AH like so many people, and actually have found it to be alot more profitable than I imagined, I buy greens to DE and sell the mats, I buy herbs to mill and sell glyphs, and I buy alot of patterns and other items, and resale them at higher values, over the last 3 weeks I have been doing this I have made about 50k in profit.

I'd say your best bet would be gathering professions getting all sorts of mats because once Cata is released people are going to be switching professions and will power level them - meaning they'll pay insane amounts of gold for all sorts of mats. Worked when WotLk was released with herbs for inscription.
What wet dreams are made of!

    It's not impossible.

400k is not impossible when you consider i been farming that since wrath started. When wrath launched your goal was getting geared and raiding mine was playing the AH. Think of how many people save up 20-30k to buy stuff to get into raiding. When i have my hands in every prof sitting on the AH 2-3 hours a day thats 400k not hard at all

the trick is that there is no trick. its just a matter of know what items to look at, what their prices normally are on on your server and what the items you sell can be used for. like, start with buy and sell a few items people use alot (since cata soon is here, it would be DE stuff, ores, herbs, skins and such from that). then look at how the prices is a few days (some addons are excellent for such) and when you know of its average prices, buy them when they are cheaper than usual and sell them. or maybe buy all the ores or whatever it is and set them on a higher price to control that item or something. you not gonna make a fortune since you not gonna sell them for much more than you buyed them for in most cases, but later you can look and learn of other items, Wowhead them and find information on them and sometimes look at stuff like recipes that some random guy dont know whats actually worth and buy it from him and sell it to a much higher price. you can get alot from people that got no idea what their items are worth so just set them on what they think is a good price, while if you Wowhead it, you know exatly what its worth and who can use it. the more people that can use it, the easier is it to sell it, but also means there gonna be alot of them and the prices are gonna zigzag alot.
you could also when you more mature at AH go looking for what people got in their bank. while this may sound strange, some random guy maybe have an treasure in his bag or bank, that he is not aware of the price on. people often can have stuff just waiting on a good hand that knows its true value.
in the end, you gonna control your market by knowing everything of every item and knowing whats gonna happen in this patch or expansion with the AH. this can take alot of time, but in the end, you will be the Master of Money Makeing.
but it require you in the end to be very smart and find tricks no one else does or is aware of.
Edit: also, you should always know if its smartest to keep the ores or make an item of them, sell the herbs or mill them to glyphs and such.

On a more constructive not save your LK mats for now wait about 2-3 weeks into cata and list them. people who rolled new toons will have to level profs and if they where not smart enough to buy before cata you can really cash in on them

I make that, in less than 1 hour and don't have to spam the chat lol, that's the stupidiest wayt to make gold, selling portals..

There is no reason to sit on the AH for 2-3 hours a day to make good money. I started playing the gem market on my server by buying uncut gems, cutting them, and selling them back on the AH about 5 months ago. With the right host of addons I can cancel any auctions of mine that aren't the lowest, grab them from the mail, cut new gems that sold, and post all the auctions within 5 minutes. Thats all you really need for a 24 hour time period. If you wanted to make more you can check the AH every couple hours and repeat the process but its completely optional.

It really isn't hard to make money on the AH and it keeps me from having to burn myself out with grinding for hours at a time. I've made 250k since I started.

Which is different from wasting 3 hours to get imaginary gear for you imaginary character in a virtual game? If he finds it enjoyable I don't see why he's a lesser player.
